0-11 in Ireland but travelled nicely last time on British debut only to tire close home when third at Wincanton over 2m4f. Drops back in trip and should go well if in similar mood despite 2lb rise.
Lightly raced gelding who clearly has had issues and returned from long absence when lost touch halfway and pulled up at Fontwell last month. Handicap bow for top yard off modest mark but more needed if he is to trouble the judge.
0-8 under Rules and seems to save best efforts for Newton Abbot where he has achieved his only two places to date. Moderate first run for new yard last time, dropped 3lb and cheekpieces now applied.
Won off 7lb lower mark at Chepstow in November and ran well when placed two subsequent starts. Pulled up last time and returns now from wind surgery. Chance if breathing op has done the trick.
Mixed messages in four runs so far under Rules, hinting there is a race to be won with him but jumping poorly last time. Dropped 5lb since then and could be one of the likelier outsiders.
Raced prominently for a long way at Newbury last time on handicap bow, only fading from the final flight. Eased 3lb and good 7lb conditional rider booked, so not a surprise should he be there or thereabouts.
Ex-Irish maiden who hasn't shown much in four starts in Britian for current yard. Pulled up last time at Leicester and has a lot to prove.
19-race maiden beaten a long way on all three starts this term. Returns from wind surgery but will need to run over a completely new leaf if she is to trouble the judge.
Mostly disappointing but only fair effort came in heavy ground at Wincanton last term and testing conditions here might help her cause. On balance however has plenty to find.
Not disgraced in first-time cheekpieces at Wincanton last time when stayed on into seventh over 2m on handicap bow. 3lb lower now and is not without a chance.
Little sign of ability and unplaced all starts for Evan Williams. Debuts for new yard now , dropped 5lb, and hasn't raced since August.,
Hasn't shown much at all for the best part of two years and is now 4lb lower than when pulling up when tailed off at Taunton last month. Others make far more appeal.
Forecasts
Manofthemoment (5/2), Grey Atlantic Way (11/4), Get Wishing (9/2), Hot Smoked (11/2), Glorious Boru (15/2), Auld Sod (12/1), Master Majic (20/1), Impulsive Leader (20/1), Lady Wethered (25/1), Lady Natasha (40/1), Equleus (40/1), Monty Massini (100/1)
Most of these have plenty to prove so a tentative choice is the junior member of the party MANOFTHEMOMENT. He shaped nicely last time at Newbury, and with a good rider claiming 7lb off a lower mark he shouldn't be at all far away. Grey Atlantic Way caught the eye last time on his British debut and could be a threat, along with Get Wishing who has a shout if improved by a recent wind operation. Majestic Majic represnts a top yard and wouldn't have to be too much to figure at this level on handicap debut.
- Manofthemoment
- Master Majic
- Grey Atlantic Way
