Paco Boy gelding whose dam was a multiple winner on the Flat between 6f-1m; makes limited appeal over this trip.
Swapped hands for £80,000 after a promising run in a Ballinrobe Bumper last year. Shown a fair bit of ability in three starts since. Worth considering; especially given that the champion jockey hangs around for the last to take the ride.
Mozzov gelding who cost €11,000; second on debut but beaten 15l by the winner. More now required but can be expected to be a lot wiser this time.
Malinas gelding that is a half-brother to a 1m4f bumper winner as well as 2m4f hurdles winner Festival Dreams. Yard not noted for first time out winners but can be considered a contender for the forecast slot in a small filed like this.
Second behind an improved individual on debut and made that one pullout all the stops near the finish. That rates as a solid enough run to expect there's more to come. Highly respected here.
Forecasts
The Cob (6/4), Jackson Hill (6/4), Moroder (3/1), The Big Yin (25/1), Albert George (33/1)
The might just boil down to a match between Jackson Hill and THE COB, who hold the best form posted so far. The latter is slightly less exposed and gets the nod after posting a gutsy display on debut. Moroder was well beaten on debut but should be wiser this time around, whil The Big Yin might just need the run and needs a lot to go his way on his racecourse debut.
- The Cob
- Jackson Hill
- Moroder
