Won three of his last four starts and still on the upgrade despite another 4lb rise. Acts on the predicted ground and no worries about his stamina holding out. A solid option.
Lightly raced and going the right way. Shapes as if this trip suits and open to further progress. Shortlisted.
Already won six times over hurdles and has a likelable attitude. Now on a career highest mark and a little to prove after being pulled up last time. Risks attached here.
Won over this trip at Market Rasen last summer but has struggled from the revised marks since. Still looks a little high in the weights despite posting a reasonable effort here last time out.
Won over fences at Bangor last time out (3m, good to soft) but never won from a mark this high over hurdles before. Rider's claim helps but still needs to post a career best in this sphere.
Won over 2m4f during his time in Ireland but is yet to really convince over this sort of trip. Brushed aside over 3m latest and now has a bit to prove.
Still a maiden but stays well and acts with cut in the ground. Bounced back from a couple of poor runs with a fair effort latest and claims if able to build on that performance. Confident jockey booking virtually ensures betting support.
Rated 7lb higher over fences so reverting to hurdles for the time being is logical. Ran well here on heavy ground over C&D latest , which bodes well. Place claims if the reapplication of blinkers does the trick.
Placed in a Listed bumper at Newbury but not really gone forward since being asked to go over hurdles. Has a good deal to find at present.
Forecasts
Woulduadamandeveit (4/1), Diger Daudaie (9/2), Nearly Perfect (9/2), Perfect Man (9/2), Holdbacktheriver (8/1), Solstice Star (8/1), Carrigmoorna Matt (12/1), Too Many Chiefs (16/1), Dr Robin (22/1)
The in-form SOLSTICE STAR has answered every question asked of him of late and looks worth keeping on the right side for the time being despite him creeping up the weights. Dr Robin likes this course and has to be feared as a danger to the selection, while Nearly Perfect posted an improved effort last time out and won't be found wanting for assistance from the saddle. Diger Daudaie is open to improvement and is another to bear in mind.
- Solstice Star
- Dr Robin
- Nearly Perfect
