Scored over Newcastle's extended 2m in January, when 3lb lower and has retained that sort of form since at both Southwell and Chelmsford. Now tries this track for the first time and with 7lb claimed, he could prove tough to topple.
Improving gelding who won twice in succession here over 1m4f earlier in the year, and was beaten just a head on his handicap debut at Wolverhampton (1m6f) last time. Up 4lb for that, but step up to 2m could elicit more. Interesting.
Scored here over 1m3f last month, when 5lb lower. Matched that when upped to 1m6f at Chelmsford last time. Despite pedigree suggesting otherwise, he looks as if he could see this out, and if so, he can't be ruled out.
Dual Polytrack winner who is proven over 2m. Now back on his last winning mark, and it would be no surprise therefore if he is able to do better than some dismal recent efforts.
Sole AW win was in 2015, but has only had three runs away from turf, where he has won four times. Would have a chance from this mark if running to the form of his York second in October (2m), but recent efforts less encouraging.
Scored here over 1m3f in 2017, when he also won twice over 1m6f at Chelmsford. Was off for 18-months and has been building steadily in four runs since returning. Decent effort at Lingfield last time (2m) and not ruled out from same mark.
In cracking form this year, and has won two of her last three at Chelmsford and more recently Lingfield, both over 2m. Up another 5lb for that, and also in grade, so will need further improvement to add this to her CV.
Returns from a spell over hurdles, where she lost form on her last two starts. Yet to win away from turf, and there are others here who make greater appeal.
Forecasts
Ulster (8/11), Technological (5/1), Busy Street (11/2), Alabaster (11/1), Navajo Star (11/1), Addicted To You (14/1), Baydar (33/1), Perfect Summer (33/1)
Busy Street looks to have decent claims with 7lb taken off his back, but ULSTER could find more improvement now upped again in trip and is taken to make it three wins from four starts. Alabaster, Navajo Star and Technological can all have cases made and are respected in opposition.
- Ulster
- Busy Street
- Alabaster
