Inconsistent mare who responded to first-time cheekpieces on penultimate start but was quick to lose interest last time. Has gone well over C&D previously but she looks vulnerable under topweight.
Drop to this mark and the application of cheekpieces brought about some improvement last time. That was her first run in three months and she would not have to progress by much to feature in a poor race.
Landed a bumper here in 2017 and lightly raced since. Has not been good enough to get competitive in novice company, but has earned a mark which looks attractive given how well her latest race has worked out.
Has won two Flat handicaps in low grade a up to 1m2f. Best hurdles effort came on penultimate start, but the impression she was flattered that day was upheld here next time.
Has an inconsistent profile as she is inclined to race too keenly. Drops down to 2m4f for this and having run herself into the ground here a month ago. Would have a chance in a poor race such as this if settling.
Runner-up to a decent sort in an Irish point-to-point on a testing circuit. No surprise she has looked one paced in novice company, but should be a more of a force now handicapping off a workable mark over a longer trip.
Poor form under rules thus far and no evidence last time that wind surgery had yielded results. Best watched for now.
Former point-to-point winner has shown precious little under rules despite tackling a variety of distances on differing surfaces. Tongue-tie given a go this time.
Reserves her best for Fakenham and produced another sound effort there in better grade last time. Has been placed here previously and would have to be considered a strong contender.
Has gone off at triple digit odds on all four hurdling starts and has failed to figure. Makes handicap debut in lowly company but hard to see her making an impression.
Forecasts
Mabela (4/1), Bisoubisou (5/1), See Forever (6/1), Tennewrow (15/2), Blue Ballerina (15/2), Quasha (8/1), Petronella Manners (17/2), Schap (11/1), Belmont Jewel (16/1), Born To Please (20/1)
It is hard to see Bisoubiosu not being far away as she arrives in form and has gone well here previously. She holds no secrets from the handicapper, whereas Mabela and SEE FOREVER are much less exposed. The former was mid-division in a race that has worked out well last time and there is a possibility she has got in here lightly. The selection looks the more guaranteed stayer of the pair judged on pedigree and her point-to-point form. She was out of her depth last time, but she was brought down when travelling sweetly on her previous start, in similar company to this, and she is expected to make her presence felt.
- See Forever
- Mabela
