6/4 but very disappointing on debut 16 months ago. Absence since suggests there could have been a problem but probably best watched on return.

20/1
Well backed 3/1 but tailed off on Hereford debut in November. Clearly better expected and interesting to see if support comes for him again.
Dam won over 2m4f and is related to winners over there. Pulled up only run in a Point-to-point over a year ago so needs dramatic improvement to figure.

Stepped up from debut effort when third at Exeter last time. The runner up that day was just beaten last week so the form stacks up and holds place claims.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-4| J: James Davies| T: R Bandey
33/1
Ran out only start in a Point-to-point in Ireland in December so not easy to know what to expect for belated rules debut.

Big G
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-10| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton
9/2
First foal, dam won twice on the Flat up to 1m2f and also over hurdles. Interesting newcomer for top yard and market should prove useful.

Hazm
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-10| J: R Patrick(3)| T: Tim Vaughan
10/1
£2,000 three-year-old, first foal. Dam won over 1m4f on the Flat. Stable gets occasional win in the sphere though likely to come on for the experience.

Girl Powreh1
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-3| J: Lily Pinchin(7)| T: S Flook
80/1
First foal, dam won a Point-to-point so likely to fins this test too sharp and likely one for further down the line.

Forecasts

Shang Tang (11/10), Starsky (7/4), Big G (9/2), De Good Man Luke (7/1), Cavernous (7/1), Hazm (10/1), Get Up Them Steps (10/1), Debden Bank (20/1), Stimulating Song (20/1), Walkonthinice (33/1), Girl Powre (80/1)

Verdict

Probably not that strong a Bumper and even without the likely forthcoming improvement STARSKY should be fat too good and give his in-form trainer yet another winner. Shang Tang seems the logical danger on his Exeter run while Big G is worth a look in the market.
  1. Starsky
  2. Shang Tang
  3. Big G
