French-bred gelding who finished out of the frame in four starts as a juvenile. Makes his seasonal reappearance after being gelded and undergoing wind surgery so is worth a check in the betting.
Placed only once in eight starts, two of them on the AW. Last of 11 at Chelmsford in first-time cheekpieces when last seen in November and needs to find plenty more off 2lb lower with the headgear retained.
Limited promise in three starts as a juvenile, but shaped much better when 6L second of nine on seasonal reappearance and handicap bow at Chelmsford last month. The winner has won again since so this one looks a major contender off the same mark.
Several promising efforts on turf as a juvenile, but was well behind Bubbelah on her first start at three. Should be sharper this time, but has quite a bit to find.
Clear signs of ability in three starts in maiden/novice company. Makes her handicap debut off a feasible mark and is worth noting for market support.
Only hints of promise in three novice contests at Newbury and on this surface. May improve for a break and wind surgery, but is probably best watched.
Out of the frame in six starts, latterly in two handicaps for this trainer after leaving Mohamed Moubarak's stable. Drops in trip off falling mark in first-time blinkers, so not one to rule out completely.
Solid displays to finish second to the same rival at Southwell on last two outings. Climbing the handicap and switches surface, but is in good heart and likely to go well.
Landed a 6f handicap at Lingfield in January and has generally run well since. More exposed than most of her rivals, though, and connections reach for cheekpieces in a bid to eke out improvement.
Unplaced in seven starts, but shaped better in first-time blinkers when fourth of 12 over 1m at Lingfield last time. Interesting to see if he can build on that off 2lb lower with the headgear retained and drop in distance may suit.
No wins in 12 attempts and was having her first run for current handler after leaving Stan Moore's yard when finishing in mid-division over 1m at Lingfield. Wears a hood for the first time.
Formerly trained by Richard Spencer, she was making her debut for this trainer when running respectably over 6f at this venue last month. Down 3lb, steps up in trip and has a positive jockey booking.
Lightly-raced gelding who was making his stable/handicap debut when finishing a running-on third over 5f at Chelmsford last month. Well backed that day, but it was his first run for 213 days so he may be be sharper and this longer trip should suit.
Forecasts
Bubbelah (2/1), Pentland Lad (4/1), Molly Mai (11/2), Lippy Lady (7/1), Drummer Jack (10/1), Run After Genesis (12/1), Remembering You (12/1), Monsieur Piquer (16/1), Strawberry Jack (20/1), Pandora Star (20/1), Nervous Nerys (33/1), Lincoln Spirit (33/1), Maared (50/1)
Remembering You is worth monitoring in the betting, while cases can be made for Maared, Pandora Star, Lincoln Spirit, Drummer Jack and Nervous Nerys, but the two to concentrate on may be Bubbelah and PENTLAND LAD, with narrow preference for the latter who was nicely backed when running a fine race on his reappearance and promises to enjoy this longer trip.
- Pentland Lad
- Bubbelah
- Remembering You
