Charm Spirit filly whose sales price rose to £50,000 as a 2-y-o and is a half-sister to 1½m winner Try Out and 1m1f-1¼m winner Ski Lift. Mid-division on debut over C&D and should improve for the experience.
Bated Breath filly out of an unraced dam who is closely related to the useful sprinter Edward Lewis. Late headway when fourth of 12 over this trip on debut at Wolverhampton and will be wiser this time.
Daughter of Swiss Spirit and a half-sister to a couple of winners. Always behind when 12th of 13th on first racecourse appearance over 1m at this venue and clearly needs to improve.
Dark Angel filly out of an iffraaj mare. Nice pedigree and makes her debut with a leading jockey on board. Well worth a check in the betting given stable also runs Di Matteo and Lady Schannell.
Third runner for respected stable and is a Teofilo filly out of an Invincible Spirit mare. Another for whom any market support would be interesting.
Respectable efforts on both starts at Kempton and Lingfield. That form gives her an each-way chance and a little improvement may be forthcoming.
By American sire Yorgunnabelucky out of a Docksider mare. May need this debut run, but is worth keeping an eye on with the future in mind.
By Kodiac, he fetched €50,000 as a yearling and is from the family of an Italian 1,000 Guineas winner. Only eighth of 11 on debut at Ascot last summer, but this looks an easier assignment.
Daughter of Cityscape out of a Haafhd mare. Probably best watched on her racecourse bow unless the market speaks in her favour.
By Wootton Bassett out of an Oasis Dream mare. Nice pedigree and worth a check in the betting as she sets foot on a racecourse for the first time.
Mount Nelson filly who was a cheap purchase as a foal. Quite stoutly bred and may find things happening a little too quickly on her first outing.
Bated Breath half-sister to five winners, the best of which was Ex Ex (6f-1m, inc AW). Little impact on debut at Lingfield last month and looks one to watch for the time being.
Improved on debut run when good second of 13 over 1m at this track last month. Hit the front a long way out that day so drop in distance may prove a plus.
Swiss Spirit filly who cost £62,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to a decent performer over 1m. One of the more interesting debutants and jockey booking catches the eye.
Forecasts
Whisper Aloud (5/2), Vegatina (3/1), Theban Air (4/1), Lethal Lover (8/1), Di Matteo (9/1), Hooriya (10/1), Canasta (12/1), Miss Enigma (14/1), Gabriela Laura (25/1), Lady Schannell (25/1), Princesse Bassett (33/1), My Lady Claire (33/1), Quemonda (100/1), Little Lady Luck (100/1)
Whisper Aloud is a newcomer with an appealing pedigree., while Vegatina would have been the selection had she not been saddled with the widest draw. Jockey bookings suggest the debutant HOORIYA may be the best of three stable representatives and she gets the vote in a race over which it is hard to be dogmatic. Princesse Bassett and Canasta are nicely bred and are worth keeping an eye on.
- Hooriya
- Whisper Aloud
- Vegatina
