Made some gradual if rather modest progress in minor events before he was upped to an extended 1m on the AW for his handicap debut (far from well placed). Both his best runs have come from the front over C&D; return to those tactics a bonus.

Form has a rather erratic look to it and connections still look undecided as to his best trip; ran poorly over 1m last time. Made his AW debut over C&D off a 1lb lower mark (finished third); would need a repeat of that to be of interest.

Six handicap starts three over C&D have yielded two runner-up slots with that duo of runs remaining his best form. Failed to fire on Fibresand last time having run well over C&D the time before; reproduction of his previous course form needed.

The only C&D winner in the field he scored off a 4lb lower mark on his second start for this yard having gone winless in his six Irish outings for a previous yard. Didn't appear to enjoy the Fibresand when attempting to follow up; hood on first-time.

Already a course winner a mile here he's taken well to handicapping running with consistency in this sphere since having 13 weeks off. Showed improved form last time and should be able to cope with this shorter trip off 4lb higher.

Handicap/stable debutante who despite only having had three runs is already onto his third yard. Done little of note so far in minor/maiden events running over a different trip each time. Tried once before over C&D, can only be watched for now.

Well beaten for the most part in all his four handicaps so far apart from a hard fought second on Fibresand over 7f. Ran poorly over C&D last time and has a big task to reverse that form with Macs Blessings (winner); cheekpieces on first-time.

The second handicap newcomer in the contest he's been well held in all three minor events he's contested so far. He drops down in trip here but he's not shown enough so far to recommend an interest.

Verdict

It’s hard to ignore the claims of MACS BLESSINGS who has looked more and more of the finished article since going handicapping. A 4lb rise for a win over 1m here last time doesn’t look excessive and he should be able to cope with the drop back to 7f as he bids to follow up. Kodi Dream is likely to appreciate a return to this surface having looked far from a natural on Fibresand last time, this C&D winner deserving of respect in a first-time hood. A return to positive tactics would be seen as a plus for Cheap Jack and the handicapper has certainly given Good Tyne Girl some assistance. Klipperty Klopp is another who will appreciate coming back to a course where he feels most at home.
