Yet to score on the AW (0-12) and all his wins have come over further (0-10 at 5f). He is edging down the weights though (4lb below his last winning mark) but didn't really convince last time out when a well beaten seventh over C&D.

Dual C&D winner with the latest victory coming in January off a 6lb lower mark; yet to run a poor race here (143512). Found his good run of form coming to a grinding halt last time (finished last); has claims if bouncing back at his favourite track.

Showed some very sound handicap form when last seen as a three-year-old and well handicapped on her last effort; an excellent second at Goodwood. Made her debut on the AW and interesting that she's been kept in training; market will offer clues.

4/5
Five-time C&D winner, already opened this year's C&D account with two wins in 0-75 grade. Forced into a higher grade he's run with credit on two subsequent starts (one over C&D); should go well, shown he can compete off this mark.

Deeds Not Words21
Age: 8|  Weight: 8-13| J: Jason Hart| T: Miss Tracy Waggott| OR:  69| D
28/1
A four-time winner this last year he had already recorded two wins this year although has yet to prove himself up to this class. Two runs over 6f for this yard have been well below form; still without his usual headgear.

Forecasts

Another Angel (4/5), Fair Cop (5/2), Tommy G (4/1), Pea Shooter (14/1), Deeds Not Words (28/1)

Verdict

Just the five runners go to post in the best quality handicap of the evening and plenty of people will be waiting to see what the market makes if Fair Cop who returns from a 582 day absence having been second when last seen in a good quality Goodwood handicap. ANOTHER ANGEL has been in top form though over C&D and has proved himself up to this class of late and he’s given the vote to get back to winning ways. Pea Shooter has yet to run a bad race here and he bids to add to his two C&D wins although this mark will prove a test for him. Tommy G has slipped in the weights but his 5f form looks to leave him with something to find.
  1. Another Angel
  2. Pea Shooter
  3. Fair Cop
