Twice a course winner over 5f this winter she proved herself up to this mark and 6f trip last time when taking the runner-up slot in a 0-75 handicap here. Raced a little freely but only went down a short-head to an odds-on favourite; hard to ignore.
Second on a couple of occasions as a juvenile in handicap company with her best run coming in a 0-85 contest. Does look rather exposed though; yet to win a race and was below form on her return to action at Kempton over this trip.
Showed some promise for handicaps in the three races it took to gain her mark as a juvenile; looked one for the longer term overall. Things didn't go to plan on her nursery debut (7f), hampered start, pulled hard, back from a break and best watched.
Twice a scorer over this trip on the Fibresand he's never looked totally at home on this very different surface. Both his wins have come when chasing a strong and ultimately collapsing pace; would need similar circumstances here to be effective.
0-11 overall and although there has been the odd glimmer of hope in some of her runs she remains a disappointing sort on the whole. Her last two runs over 5f here off a break have offered very little; would need a major turnaround to figure.
There was some steady progress in her three novice runs (looked the type to do better in handicaps) over 6f. Further encouragement could be gained from her handicap debut over C&D (finished third); nearest finish, may do better at 7f, of interest.
Makes her second start for this yard although it was hard to say that the first one was impressive (ran poorly in first-time cheekpieces) at Southwell. That surface may well have not suited but her previous runs had also lacked any vitality.
One of two handicap debutantes in the field his form as a juvenile is hardly anything to get excited about; well beaten in a turf claimer over 5f when last seen. Has run here once before (only beat two home); needs to have improved markedly.
Appears to be doing a tour of the AW tracks having already run at three different ones (this will be his fourth). Well beaten on all those runs she now makes her handicap debut (second start over 6f); will do well to get involved.
Forecasts
Klopp (2/5), Camachess (7/1), Geography Teacher (7/1), Platinum Coast (8/1), Firsteen (12/1), Ascot Dreamer (16/1), Medoras Childe (20/1), Champagne Clouds (25/1), Kyroc (100/1)
Plenty of these have something to prove and neither of the two handicap debutantes – Champagne Clouds and Platinum Coast - look as though they are going to present a significant threat. KLOPP has by far the best form available have twice won here over 5f and looked very at home over this trip last time out in a better grade than this. Firsteen would appear to be the main danger on the basis of her first try in a handicap although she may need 7f to be seen at her best. Camachess was below form last time but some of her past form would be good enough to make an impression here if she has come on for that run.
- Klopp
- Firsteen
- Camachess
