Ran well on the back of almost two years off the track at Ayr last month. Entitled to have come on considerably for that run and entitled to run well here.
0/7 Under rules now and raced a little too keenly over a shorter trip last time. Quickly dropped 5lbs here and goes back up in trip but needs to find a jolt of improvement.
Still a maiden after 16 starts but often runs with credit as was the case on chasing debut at Catterick last month. Sure to give it a good go once again and has place claims at least once more.
Has shown steady improvement over hurdles culminating in a good second at Ayr last month off a 2lb lower mark. Makes chase debut and could improve now for the larger obstacles.
Cost £70,000 in April 2016 but has really struggled since. Entitled to have needed the run on comeback from a long layoff at Ayr in January but plenty more needed on chase debut.
Only one win from 18 starts over hurdles and hasn't been shaping like a win is on the cards. Another making his chasing debut here and needs to improve for fences.
Ran well when caught close home at Newcastle two starts back. Slapped with an 8lb rise for being beaten and duly struggled at Ayr next time. Now sent over fences and needs to find more improvement.
Well held on all starts so far and the jump to 3m didn't work out last time. Down another 5lbs and should take advantage of a falling mark at some point but unlikely to be today on recent evidence.
Yet to win in 19 starts under rules but showed a little more on first start over fences last time when getting outpaced as the tempo increased. Step up in trip could help but needs to find loads from well out the weights.
Forecasts
Vasco D'Ycy (10/3), Prince Dundee (4/1), Thomas Do (4/1), Up Helly Aa King (13/2), Magic Of Milan (7/1), Along Came Theo (10/1), Lovely Schtuff (12/1), Pc Dixon (28/1), Sory (80/1)
If VASCO D'YCY comes on for the run at Ayr then he will be very tough to keep out of the frame here and gets a narrow vote. Along Came Theo continues to improve and should be involved. It is still early days for Magic Of Milan and there could be more to come on chase debut.
- Vasco D'Ycy
- Along Came Theo
- Magic Of Milan
