Gradually getting back to form after a lengthy absence, and made all to win a 4-runner chase at Leicester (2m, good/firm) last time with a bit to spare. Faces different conditions here, but proven in the mud, and merits respect.
Maiden after 36 starts, and no match for Edgar at Leicester last month, with the winner idling in front. Has run well on both starts over hurdles since, however, and won't be far away in current mood.
Just one win in 25 starts for this veteran, but he does handle testing ground, and ran creditably on balance when third of 5 to Waikiki Waves in a novice handicap chase at Lingfield last time. Claims with a repeat.
A veritable thief for Tom Gretton, and outbattled on numerous occasions. Not at beston debut for current yard last time, but conditions fine, and should be competitive from his reduced mark.
Forecasts
Bredon Hill Lad (5/2), Edgar (11/4), Upham Running (7/2), Kahdian (4/1), Yourholidayisover (13/2)
EDGAR wouldn't be an obvious one to gain back-to-back wins, but with Bredon Hill Lad disappointing last time, and Yourholidayisover and Kahdian very hard to win with, he may do just that.
