Winning point-to-pointer, but after some promise on hurdles bow in November has run poorly in two subsequent starts over timber. Switches to fences and wears first time cheekpieces so not impossible he could improve for the larger obstacles.
Scored at around this trip over hurdles at Sedgefield last time out in January but had been very disappointing in two previous attempts over fences. Only 1lb lower than when beaten a long way at Hexham over fences, but better ground here may help.
Yard in blistering form of late (5-7). First start since April last year and has undergone wind surgery. Wasn't disgraced last season on a couple of occasions and has now been eased 3lb. Decent rider claims 5lb too.
Disaapointing in all five starts under Rules. Underwent wind surgery prior to latest run when unseated rider early on. Yard continues in good form but has plenty to prove in what we've seen so far.
Won here over hurdles two years ago, and has run well on two of three starts this term over fences either side of a disappointing effort when favourite at Wetherby in December. Only just failed last time so has claims on that run.
Only win in 26 starts came in Wexford maiden hurdle in autumn 2015. 0-17 over fences and makes debut for new yard having run moderately last three starts since showing some promise at Market Raseon on seasonal bow.
Regressive maiden hurdle who now makes debut over fences. related to a couple of fair chase winners but on balance looks an unlikley scorer.
First time tongue-tie applies after five dismal efforts over the last three years over timber. Makes chasing bow but it will have to make a huge difference if he is going to trouble the judge.
Maiden point-to-pointer who hasn't shown much at all in three starts over timber so far under Rules. Dam failed to show anything in one bumper outing but is from family of smart War Of Attrition.
Off the mark at the 19th time of asking when winning novice handicap chase over around this trip at Sedgefield in January. Has had wind surgery since and runs off 8lb higher mark but has fair claims if in similar form.
18-race maiden but ran well here when third in handicap hurdle in December and showed some promise on chasing bow last time when 5th of 14 at Bangor. Might improve for that experience and looks one of the likelier sorts,
Very poor form on all nine starts to date in bumpers and over hurdles. Makes chasing bow here but is impossible to recommend on what we have seen this far in his career.
Forecasts
Mr Love (5/2), Dallas Cowboy (11/2), Emerald Chieftan (13/2), Goodthyneaway (9/1), Overawed (9/1), Scartare (10/1), Two Hoots (11/1), Three In One (14/1), Mayohill (18/1), Torrent Des Mottes (28/1), Bare Necessities (40/1), Cockney Seagull (66/1)
A trappy affair, but the mare OVERAWED ran well in similar company last time and has a good shout on that effort. Top weight Mayohill is open to improvement now turning his attention to chasing, while Two Hoots finally got off the mark last time and may have turned the corner. Mr Love makes his chaisng bow for a yard in superb form, and Scartare is not without hope having shown promise on his chasing bow.
