Absolutely thriving with racing over the past few months; went down narrowly to Claire Underwood over C&D latest (third has won since) so a further 3lb rise in the weights looks fully justifiable; key player.
Winner off a 2lb lower mark at Wolverhampton (1m4f) in late November and wholly reliable since; beaten by Loud And Clear on his last visit to this track in October but that rival has risen in the weights since and that race was over 2m.
Posted his best effort yet on this surface when comfortably accounting for Star of Southwold over C&D 13-days ago; 4lb higher in the weights; C&D winner on each of the last three occasions when partnered by Clifford Lee; key player.
Talented hurdler - winner of the 2m Grade 3 Greatwood at Cheltenham in November (off a mark of 126); had wind surgery since, so a watching brief is advisable on his return to the Flat; 0-3 on the AW (has improved massively since).
Left Paul Nicholls for £4,500 in November and debuts on the AW for new connections here; hasn't raced on the Flat since winning for Willie McCreery at Cork (1m2f, good to firm) in May 2017.
Still a maiden on the AW (0-6) and has had a short break since finishing last of six to Loud And Clear over 2m here in early January; has had recent wind surgery like his much more appealing stablemate Nietzche.

The presence of the Greatwood Hurdle winner Nietzche adds an interesting dimension to this race, although the suspicion is that he should benefit for the run (his first start since wind surgery). Therefore, the pair to focus upon are the course specialists LOUD AND CLEAR and Glan Y Gors. Both horses have been in rude health in recent times and are particularly strong in the stamina department (also stay 2m). A 3lb rise for his latest narrow C&D defeat looks fully justifiable for the selection with that particular form-line appearing to be very strong (third-placed Desert Ruler won well here last week).
