Grabbed a couple of hunter chases last term and arrives here having completed a hat-trick of Larkhill point-to-points. Has one serious rival to beat.

Appreciated the drier ground when taking a hunter chase at Exeter last May. Plenty to find on that form and others arrive having proven their fitness.

Moderate ex-Irish chaser who has been soundly beaten in three point-to-points this term and is out of his depth in this company.

11/10
Beat Sego Success at Chaddesey Corbett before justifying short odds at Fakenham on hunter chase debut. Meets Monsieur Gibraltar on 9lb better terms than if this had been a handicap.

Age: 11|  Weight: 12-0| J: Shane Quinlan(3)| T: H Brown| OR:  93
33/1
Record 2-38 in point-to-points and fortunate when gaining the last of those back in June. Fit from two runs this winter but lacks the ability of the main two.

Forecasts

Monsieur Gibraltar (10/11), Risk A Fine (11/10), Creative Inerta (20/1), Theatre Evening (33/1), Jack The Hat (40/1)

Verdict

This should rest between Monsieur Gibraltar and RISK A FINE. The former has been in good form at Larkhill this winter and has proven himself in this class over a variety of distances. The selection was useful at this trip when with Philip Hobbs and receives a useful allowance. He arrives having scored decisively at Fakenham and having beaten former top class stayer Sego Success in a point-to-point.
  1. Risk A Fine
  2. Monsieur Gibraltar
  3. Creative Inerta
