Has won his last two starts when dipping below the 100 mark. Particularly poor on last three starts and Tom O'Brien seems to get the best out of him
Three of his four wins have come in this grade but he is on a losing run stretching to May 2016. Conditions favourable on return from a four month break and he has gone well (without winning) when fresh in the past. Stable form is a concern.
Won a point-to-point last spring but moderate under rules and pulled up on last two starts in this grade.
Yet to show his earlier promise in three starts this season, after more than two years off. Would be interesting if supported given his liking for a sound surface.
Turned in one of his better efforts to score at Taunton last time and he has been placed in three of his five visits here. That is his sole win in 23 starts and and it's hard to be confident he can stage a repeat.
Selling handicap hurdle winner over an extended 2m2f at Stratford (good) in September 2016. Had just three starts and well beaten on each occasion. Makes no appeal on return to chasing.
A 9-38 record reads well in this company, but his current form leaves plenty to think about and he probably wants it softer than this.
Showed a glimmer of his Irish form at Southwell last summer but he has been back to more mediocre levels since.
Longstanding maiden who has eased down the weights and has been prominent in the market on several occasions without taking advantage. This easier than chase debut last time.

Tikkapick (11/8), Black Anthem (6/1), Vexillum (6/1), Bredon Hill Lad (13/2), Sizing Brisbane (15/2), Turban (16/1), Holeinthewall Bar (16/1), Big Bang De Loire (16/1), Gilly Grace (20/1), Gentleman Moore (33/1)
Tikkapick has the only plausible recent from having scored last time but his priors make him less than trustworthy. Stable companion SIZING BRISBANE is an unconvincing selection given it's his Irish form in 2016 that suggests he is better than this and good ground is crucial. Three runs from a break may have him ready for a contest as bad as this. Vexillium is interesting at this level, whilst Turban has proven himself capable off this mark in this grade. Black Anthem was sent off at 3/1 for a harder race than this last time when making his chasing debut and he will get few easier opportunities to gain that elusive first win.
