Ran well enough to be considered on his one try so far on this surface (third of 14) that run coming off the back of his handicap debut win. Shaped as though he was still in form over7f (Lingfield) last time; looks suited by this longer trip.

First experience of this surface (sire has a fair record here) but has yet to win a race. Back to some sort of form with a runner-up slot at Newcastle last time (7f); has to prove he can build on that run over this longer trip (tried once before).

All four career runs have come on the AW but this will be a different test as she encounters Fibresand for the first time. Pedigree gives a positive view that she will act here but has to settle better than she did on her handicap debut.

One of three course winners in the field (victory came over 7f) having edged down the weights from her initial effort here. Ran third behind Dolly Dupree over 7f last time (Pandora Star second); cheekpieces now on for the first time.

Lightly-raced maiden but looks to have enjoyed her visits here having placed twice now at trips up to 1m. Split two of today's rivals when taking second over 7f last time leading until headed late on; responded well to a more positive ride.

One of a group making their Fibresand debuts returning to form last time out at Wolverhampton over an extended mile after two below-par efforts. Blinkers worn the last two starts are retained but she will need to improve despite the reduced mark.

Has form that ties in with a couple of these showing improved form to land a weak contest with the aid of an easing mark; stayed on to lead close home. Now has to show a little more to confirm that form off 4lb higher and over 1f further.

Ran a creditable race last time (first-time blinkers; now tried in cheekpieces) when well supported at Lingfield over 1m4f. Now steps down 4f encountering a different surface (by a sire with a poor Fibresand record); others a more solid option.

Lost a C&D handicap for hampering the second in December off a 6lb lower mark and wasn't in anything like the same form when next seen at Kempton (also over 1m). Back now on a surface that suits but has to prove herself off this mark.

Took a step forward when contesting her first handicap on the AW (previously run in turf claimers/sellers); flopped on her one previous run here. Came back to life at Newcastle last time; with her best two efforts on the Tapeta she passed over here.

Handicap/fibresand debut after three modest (at best) efforts in minor events; has only beaten one rival home. In good hands though (trainer has plenty of success here); worth watching in the market for positive vibes.

So far has shown very little including on her handicap debut last time over 1m at Lingfield off a basement mark. Cheekpieces go on for the first time on her Fibresand debut; needs a major improvement to get involved.

Forecasts

Dolly Dupree (5/1), Lexikon (6/1), Rusper Dreams (6/1), Sylviacliffs (7/1), Pandora Star (8/1), Pot Luck (8/1), Global Goddess (8/1), Singe Du Nord (9/1), Klipperty Klopp (10/1), Regal Ambition (14/1), Bonneville (16/1), Crazy Spin (25/1), Freedom's Breath (50/1)

Verdict

Only a low-grade end to the card but a complex and competitive one nonetheless with plenty of these having met before. Dolly Dupree led home PANDORA STAR and Syviacliffs here last time out and it’s the second home that is given the nod this time in that particular battle. Rusper Dreams is another that should go well having now had some experience on the surface and looking suited by this longer trip. Singe Du Nord has already “won” over C&D but lost that race in the Stewards Room and she will appreciate being back on Fibresand.
  1. Pandora Star
  2. Rusper Dreams
  3. Singe Du Nord
