Back to form when runner-up over C&D on first start since leaving Henry Spiller, and likely to go close assuming he builds as expected on that run.

5-12 on the AW but handicapped up to the hilt on this surface at present, and soundly beaten on return from a break here earlier in the month. Needs some respite.

Won three times in 2018, but looks high in the weights now, and is entitled to need this after six months off.

Has shown improvement since leaving Mark Johnston , winning here in November, and shaping better than the result in a modestly-run race at Lingfield last time. Leading contender on balance.

Chelmsford specialist who showed he was just a s good here by winning over C&D on his most recent start. Probably needs to pull out more to defy a 4lb rise, but folly to ignore.

Turf winner (6f, good) at Ayr in 2017, but stamina to prove at this trip, and again well beaten trying C&D last time. Given a chance by the handicapper since, but others preferred.

Scored here over 7f in 2016. Not seen much action since, but showed his ability remained intact when fifth of 8 to Samphire Coast over C&D last time. Likely to build on that.

Chester winner in September, and looked as good as ever when neck second of 5 to Helovaplan at Newcastle after a break recently. Needs to build on that, and wide draw not ideal.

Sole win came over this C&D for David Elsworth and following a poor start for his curent yard, he was back to his best when third of 11 to Family Fortunes here on his latest start. One to bear in mind.

Won over 7f at Lingfield last month, but disappointing in two subsequent starts, and stepping into the unknown stamina-wise here.

Had subsequent winners behind when scoring at Chelmsford in a first-time visor last month, and good effort over 7f there next time. Below form last time, though, and needs to bounce back now.

Well treated on best form, but hasn't scored in over two years. Ran creditably when fifth at Newcastle last time, but needs to show he can build on that.

Forecasts

Intrepidly (11/4), Rampant Lion (11/2), Me Too Nagasaki (13/2), Enzemble (7/1), Samphire Coast (8/1), Brittanic (9/1), Poetic Force (12/1), Scofflaw (12/1), Barrington (14/1), Rock Icon (20/1), Intense Style (28/1), Kodiline (33/1), Regulator (66/1)

Verdict

INTREPIDLY made a promising start for Charlie Fellowes here earlier in the month, and ought to go close if building at all on that promising effort. Enzemble is finding his feet after a quiet start to life with James Fanshawe and looks the main danger, although Me Too Nagasaki is respected on his old form, and is lightly raced enough to do better still.
