Front-runner whose last three wins have come here all over this trip. Tried in slightly better grade the last twice (will appreciate the slight ease) and not one to allow too much rope to off a mark that he's clearly capable of winning off.
A return of one win from 22 runs is poor although he did appear to bounce back to form last time over 1m2f at Lingfield without any headgear on this time. A consistent sort the handicapper looks unwilling to let go and is in control for now.
First try on the AW back from a fair absence having been disappointing when last seen at Haydock (1m2f, soft), reported to have bled and finished lame. Start prior to that when runner-up was a career-best, capable if ready to roll.
Winner over 1m on the AW last April he's been sparingly raced since appearing just three times. Well below his previous form when returning from eight months off at Lingfield; eased after being hampered and more needed to make an impact.
Useful sort in his three-year-old career winning on his debut over 1m4f but gradually showed more and more of his quirky and ungenuine side (has been tried in blinkers); formerly with Roger Varian. First run for a new yard; best watched on AW debut.
Made use of a much reduced mark when winning at Kempton last December over 1m. Consistency has always been his problem and he's struggled since then apart from the odd highlight; better last time but needs to show that he can back that up.

Having had a couple of handicaps on the card with a plethora of C&D winners we only have one here in the shape of MICHELE STROGOFF who could well get the run of this race around his favourite course and looks sure to make a bold bid to land his fourth C&D victory. Juanito Chico needs to show that he can back up his latest Chelmsford effort but if he can he won’t be too far away although consistency has proved a problem in the past. Swiss Storm would have a chance if back to his best but this is his first taste of the AW and Mr Top Hat may be a better bet for another placed effort.
