Yard yet to have a bumper winner admittedly from limited resources but unlikely to break their duck here with this unraced five-year-old. Cost €12,000 as a three-year-old; given her pedigree looks to need time and distance.
Flat-bred who has shown promise on both her outings making a step forward last time out at Taunton taking the runner-up slot. Proved suited by a change of tactics there (made running); looks sure to be involved again.

Trainer looks to have a more fancied one in this but she did show some ability in an AW bumper back in November. Has had some wind surgery since then and now wears a tongue-tie on her turf debut; could run into another place.

Debutante from a yard that do well in this sphere (23% strike-rate last five years; 5-14 in bumpers here). 10L winner on her second point-to-point start (made all) having fallen on her debut; looks to be strongly fancied on her initial start.

From a yard that do well in this sphere (22% strike-rate last five years; 2-3 in bumpers here) she showed plenty to work on when finishing midfield in a Ludlow bumper. Nearest at the finish she's likely to know more now and show more progress here.

Trainer has had success with this family already (half-sister to the yard's smart chaser Mercian Prince); looked to need the run on debut at Huntingdon. Had a wind op before that run and there is the potential for more to come in this.

One of two that the trainer runs in this and the yard don't have a bad record in this sphere; 2-14 this season. By Kayf Tara she's a half-sister to Jubilympics a winner in bumpers and over hurdles; betting will reveal more.

Looks the second string of the trainer's duo on jockey bookings. Closely related to fair chaser Foxes Bridge and half-sister to bumper winner Manhattan Spring. Dam ran twice in bumpers; may well need this experience.
Headgear (hood) worn for all three starts is retained for her fourth try in this sphere with the previous trio have shown very little. Could well be a case of the song remains the same here facing some decent rivals; makes very limited appeal.

Forecasts

Marilyn Monroe (5/4), Pogo I Am (15/8), Early Morning Rain (5/1), Tara Niece (14/1), Roaring Fury (20/1), Tarks Hill (25/1), Fatima Blush (33/1), Buck's Beautiful (50/1), Devious Dicks Dame (100/1)

Verdict

Two trainers statistically stand out in bumpers at this track and they both saddle runners in this with Anthony Honeyball represented by debutante MARILYN MONROE and Harry Fry bringing Pogo I Am back for her second start in this sphere. The former of that duo is bred to be useful and has already shown enough ability to be of interest when winning on her second point-to-point start; she’s sure to be well prepared. The Fry representative has a little more experience and should come on for her Ludlow experience where she finished off her race well. Early Morning Rain looks the pick of the Jamie Snowden pair and is likely to be there or thereabouts again.
  1. Marilyn Monroe
  2. Pogo I Am
  3. Early Morning Rain
