Looked a shade fortuitous to score here last time and he has something to prove off topweight in a better race.
Impressive winner of this 12 months ago off 4lb lower. Ran well in the Welsh National last time but fears the ground may not be testing enough.
Dual winner at up to 3m1f as a novice last season and pleasing enough return to action when fifth in Welsh National Trial. Did not jump well enough last time.
Never looked likely to figure last time when fourth of the five finishers. Samuel Jackson would be expected to confirm the form.
Finally lived up to his point-to-point form when landing a gamble on stable debut. The conditions played their part and his jumping will need to be a lot sharper to defy a 17lb rise on a much quicker surface.
Nothing wrong with his two runs here at the turn of the year, but he was soon in trouble at Taunton last time and that makes him hard to recommend.
Scored off this mark on last run over this marathon trip. Did little wrong last time and hard to rule out with rider's claim providing extra value.
Dour stayer who likes the ground hock deep. Tailed off on return from a layoff and conditions far from ideal.
Blows hot and cold so much depends on whether he is in a better mood than last time. Trip a further unkown and he carries a few too many risks to pass a favourable judgement.
Wide margin scorer over 3m4f at Haydock last spring. Overhauled by a fitter rival receiving 13lb in the Lincolnshire National off his revised mark. That winner has scored since and he must have every chance of going one better.
Has improved since stepping up in trip and was going well before departing n the Sussex National last time. Not without a chance on that showing.
Has mixed hurdling with chasing since winning the Edinburgh National (4m1f) at Musselburgh in February 2017. Not at his best this term but he tends to run well here.
Almost caused a shock at Ffos Las when running Kilbricken Storm to a short-head. Had his limitations exposed last time, but likely to offer more over this trip and his stable are 3-6 in this event.
Runner-up in the Sussex National and that has earned another rise in the weights to leave him 11lb above his last winning mark.
Without a win in more than three years and faces a hopless looking task from 18lb out of the weights.

Jepeck (4/1), Dawson City (6/1), Samuel Jackson (6/1), Cobolobo (6/1), Unioniste (15/2), Chic Name (8/1), Zerachiel (11/1), Courtown Oscar (12/1), Aurillac (12/1), Dancing Shadow (16/1), Le Boizelo (16/1), Calin Du Brizais (16/1), Sandy Beach (18/1), Another Venture (20/1), I See You Well (20/1), Mountain Of Mourne (150/1)
Jepeck was backed from 4/1 to 6/4 when overcoming mistakes to score on stable debut and we have seen the yard do well withthis type before. However a 17lb rise for that victory looks harsh given the attritional conditions that day and a late mistake by the runner-up. Cobolobo can be considered well-handicapped if taking his second to Kilbricken Storm literally, however his next run probably proved he was flattered. Chic Name will relish the test and is well-handicapped, but it is hard to oppose ZERACHIEL who made a bold bid to land the Lincolnshire National only to be caught on the run-in by a fitter well-handicapped rival.
- Zerachiel
- Chic Name
- Dancing Shadow
