Just 1lb higher than when winning a handicap chase at Wincanton in October, but he remains a sketchy jumper, and has been below form on recent starts. Claims if bouncing back, but risky.
Won over this trip at Fakenham in December, and had excuses when ultimately well held last time. Should get a solo up front, so not dismissed out of hand.
Runner-up on all three starts over fences, and looked sure to win at Market Rasen last time until getting outbattled. Repeat of that gives her every chance, and should have no excuses.
Fourth over hurdles at Worcester in the summer, but soundly beaten in three subsequent starts, including making handicap debut at Kempton. Did win a point-to-point, though, so could conceivably do better over fences.
Modest on balance over hurdles, but not disgraced on either start this season, and another from a point-to-point background, so there is reason to expect him to adapt to fences at the first attempt.
Just one place from six starts between the flags, and he's not achieved a great deal over hurdles. Handicapped accordingly, though, so not entirely dismissed now switching disciplines.
Quantum Of Solace (2/1), Truckers Tangle (7/2), Dark Invader (4/1), Dont Be Robin (5/1), By Rail (7/1), Chorus Of Lies (16/1), Why Lie (25/1)
It's possible to crab the battling qualities of QUANTUM OF SOLACE, but she comes here with three solid efforts to her name over fences, and faces a less-than-daunting field, so can have few excuses. By Rail seems assured of an easy lead, and is respected on that basis, with Truckers Tangle the most interesting of a trio starting out over fences.
