Cost £20,000 after winning an Irish maiden point (yld/soft)on her second start last May. Taken out of her intended debut at Warwick in November due to unsuitable ground (good), so has to prove she can act in these conditions on debut. Market check.

Won a mares' maiden Irish point on her second attempt last April, selling for £30,000 shortly after. 4-1 and made no more than a respectable rules debut on soft in a Plumpton bumper in December. Improvement anticipated this time. Should be involved.

£115,000 purchase who went off at 6-1 on debut in a Warwick bumper last month an posted a very creditable effort to be 3½L second. Looks a contender.
11-2 for her debut at Ludlow last month, but if the market hinted at ability, then greenness in the race itself did not really allow her to show it. In good hands, however, so we should see a significantly better effort this time. Not ruled out.

€12,500 purchase who was easy to back when 20-1 on debut, but ran on that day to finish under 3L fifth. That was encouraging, so with any improvement she could get involved here.

Third foal. Dam unraced half-sister to 7f Group 3 winner Millennium Force and useful 1m Flat/2m-2m4f hurdle/chase winner Chrysander out of 1m2f winner. Stable doesn't have many bumper runners, but market check looks prudent.

Romped away with a 1m4f fillies 'junior' bumper (good) here last month. Penalised for that and takes on older horses too, but it was visually quite an impressive effort and she has to be taken very seriously.

£10,000 yearling, £55,000 3yo. Second foal. Half-sister to 2m4f hurdle winner Kings Ryde. Dam bumper/useful 2m3f and 2m4f hurdle winner, half-sister to bumper/3m2f chase winner Joyryder. Stable 13% in bumpers, so well worth a market check.

£18,000 3yo. Second foal. Half-sister to point winner Silver Sheen. Dam bumper/2m and 2m2f hurdle winner (stayed 3m), half-sister to useful 2m5f-3m hurdle/chase winner Quickbeam. Stable 1-6 and two placed in this sphere this season. Interesting.
25-1 but showed promise on debut, when just over 7L third behind Zoutoise here last month. Has 7lb better off with the winner and with the potential for improvement, she is not ruled out.

Forecasts

Zoutoise (13/8), Legends Ryde (5/1), Seaton Carew (6/1), Escort'namix (15/2), Agent Valdez (12/1), West Coast Glory (14/1), Frau Georgia (14/1), Miah Grace (20/1), Puppetonastring (22/1), Miss Gemstone (33/1)

Verdict

There should be a future future winners from this race, but ZOUTOISE already has won success to her name and she did it well enough to suggest that she can find the necessary to defy a penalty. Frau Georgia is an interesting opponent, as are Puppetonastring, Seaton Carew and Escort'namix, while Agent Valdez, Legends Ryde and Miah Grace all all newcomers to note in the market.
  1. Zoutoise
  2. Frau Georgia
  3. Miah Grace
