On a stiff looking mark for the future but definitely going the right way and could be up to giving weight away to the majority; won unchallenged last time and open to further progress. Has to be on the shortlist.
Decent on the Flat and has shown an aptitude for jumping since joining his current yard. Pulled up behind Baddesley Knight last time and possible something was amiss. Worth a betting check but a bit to prove on face value.
Shown a high level of form in bumpers but has been expensive to follow at short odds in both previous outings over hurdles. The drop in trip can help but the gelding needs to improve this time. (Finished fourth in last season's Champion Bumper.)
Still going well when he unseated on his hurdles debut but couldn't reel in the leaders when third in a modest event last time. Possible a longer trip will suit before too long. Place claims at best.
Flat-bred gelding whose stable has been on the quiet side lately. Respected in an ordinary race but probably safe to just watch him run this time.
Modest on debut in a bumper and didn't make much of an impact at Ffos Las on hurdling debut last month either; has a good bit to prove just now.
Won over 2m on the Flat but has been well held in both previous starts since switching codes. Big improvement required.
A fair handicapper on the Flat; has won between 1m-1m2f but has limited experience over hurdles. Tailed off on debut in this sphere and is another who needs to post a dramatically improved effort.
A maiden under both codes and not shown enough in either previous start over hurdles to suggest the gelding is presently one to follow. Others more convincing here.
Showed promise in bumpers last season but was eventually well beaten in the 'big one' at the Cheltenham Festival; hasn't really improved much since switching to hurdles but merits respect from a high-profile yard. (Stablemate of West Drive.)
Dual point-to-point winner but made no impression on hurdles bow at Newbury just before Christmas. Weakened rapidly near the finish on that occasion and comes here with a bit to find.
Shaped up nicely on hurdles debut last time out and the mare is likely to have a bit more to offer now she has that experience to draw from. However, her bumper form wasn't as strong as some of the others, so plenty has to be taken on trust.
Didn't make much progress when trained on the Flat by Brian Meehan and created the impression that a longer trip will suit her better on her latest outing over Jumps. Others hold more obvious claims at this stage.

A modest curtain raiser to the resumption of racing at Plumpton can go the way of BADDESLEY KNIGHT, who has already shown he is capable at this sort of level and is likely to be thereabouts if not anchored by the penalty for a smooth win last time out. West Drive was well held on that occasion, so it may be more profitable to give his stablemate The Flying Sofa more attention on this occasion. Acey Milan has solid claims judging by the pick of his form in bumpers and he merits a betting check at least. Colditz Castle is forwarded as the best of the rest
