Winner on debut at Lingfield last August and ran very well under a penalty over 7f here in January, looking very much in need of another furlong. Goes into handicaps on a fair mark, will improve and every chance of success here.
Got the best of a titanic tussle at Lingfield last time out, showing a good attitude into the bargain (not unexpected, went off favourite) and looks to be progressing well. Every chance of following up if as effective on this surface.
Promise on first two starts but took a big backwards step here last time out, looking very one paced, and no surprise to see the headgear reached for on handicap debut here. Well drawn if connections decide to attack, but risky at present.
Well fancied on all four starts to date, never going off bigger than 7-2 and almost came good over C&D last time out, where he could have done with a bit more cover early. Likely to progress on that and holds a solid chance here.
Has progressed well over the winter, twice a winner in his last three starts and won readily at Newcastle last time out. 7lb rise and a furlong further both ask new questions of him, but clearly in good heart and folly to dismiss.
Improving quickly now and ran out a clear-cut winner over C&D last time out (well backed), asserting his superiority late in the day. Clear chances under a penalty if in the same frame of mind.
Didn't show a lot first three starts but much better since stepping into handicaps, and showed that his close fourth here was no fluke when doing better again to be beaten a length over C&D last time. May have more to offer and looks a player.
Nicely enough bred but hasn't shown much in three starts, and now moves into handicaps on a low mark as a result. In good hands and should improve for this extra furlong, so hard to rule out entirely. Watch the market is the advice.
Forecasts
Gold Bere (5/2), My Dear Friend (7/2), Rich Approach (9/2), Sir Ox (5/1), Lee Roy (9/1), Fox Kasper (10/1), Annecy (20/1), Regal Ambition (25/1)
The likely pace in the race comes from the outside three stalls, and of those Lee Roy makes plenty of appeal as he seems to be getting his act together since being moved into handicaps. But they might just set things up for GOLD BERE to follow up his Lingfield win with another. Expect to see him come late on the scene. Regal Ambition is one that needs carefully monitoring in the market.
