Heavy ground point-to-point winner in Ireland in November 2017. .Fair eighth on hurdling debut over an extended 2m3f at Chepstow (soft) in December and represents a leading stable with this step up in distance likely to suit.
Fair fourth in a heavy ground bumper over an extended 1m7f at Haydock on debut in December. Well beaten at Uttoxeter (2m4f, heavy) on hurdles debut later that month however.
Broke his maiden at the fourth attempt in point-to-points when winning at Ballinaboola (good) in November. Market support would be notable on his first start under Rules.
Placed on his last two tarts over hurdles including over an extended 2m4f at Newbury (soft) in December. Runner-up that day has won since and he looks likely to play a leading role on this occasion.
Signs of ability in four point-to-point starts but finished a well beaten 24L ninth in a C&D maiden hurdle on Rules debut last month. More needed if he's to take this event.
Improved on Rules debut when finishing 10L second over an extended 2m5f at Wetherby (good-to-soft) just over a month ago. Interesting to see if he can improve on that in this contest.
Beaten 26L when finishing third in a 2m4f maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter (heavy) on hurdles debut in November. Likely needs to improve on that if he is to figure in the finish.
Promising 20L third in a maiden hurdle over an extended 2m4f at Leicester (good-to-firm) in early December. Needs to improve on that if he is to taste success on his return from a short break.
Placed off a mark of 119 over an extended 2m7f at Chepstow (good-to-soft) in November. Disappointing twice since and return to novice company looks likely to suit.
Won and placed in bumpers and finished a decent 15L third in a novice hurdle over an extended 2m4f at Newbury (soft) on hurdling bow in November. Represents a top yard and is one to note in this contest.
Maiden point-to-point winner at Tinahely (good) in October and followed up in a banks contest at Lingstown (good) the following month. Market support would be notable on debut under Rules.
Point-to-point winner in spring 2015 but lightly raced since. .beaten 43L on debut for this yard over an extended 2m3f at Chepstow (soft) in December and others make more appeal.
Not beaten far when tenth here in a good ground bumper on debut last May and ran a fair race when sixth at Wetherby (good-to-soft) on seasonal debut in November. More needed on debut over hurdles however.
Point-to-point winner and placed in a bumper and on hurdles debut over an extended 2m3f at Lingfield (heavy) in November. Dismounted when pulled up at Chepstow subsequently and interesting to see how she fares following a break.
Well beaten in a couple of bumpers for Daniel Loughnane including on soft ground here in December. Others make more appeal on stable and hurdles debut.
Beaten 28L in a good ground bumper at Wincanton in May and beaten when falling on hurdling debut over 2m on soft ground here in December.
Forecasts
Diomede Des Mottes (7/4), Morning Vicar (15/8), Juge Et Parti (3/1), Blackjack Kentucky (10/1), No Hidden Charges (10/1), Est Illic (11/1), Cavok (16/1), Golden Sovereign (20/1), Cool Destination (33/1), Big Fiddle (33/1), Chuffy Chuffnell (50/1), Heresthething (50/1), Point Of Departure (66/1), Our Rockstar (100/1), Stoney Cross (100/1), Dry Lightening (100/1)
DIOMEDE DES MOTTES represents a top stable and he is taken to get off the mark at the third attempt over hurdles in the concluding maiden hurdle. The selection looks capable of seeing off Morning Vicar who ran well on his first start over hurdles in November while third place can go to the experienced Juge Et Parti who has been contesting handicaps in recent starts.
- Diomede des Mottes
- Morning Vicar
- Juge Et Parti
