Unbeaten in a pair of bumpers and maiden hurdle but took his form to a different level when beating a small but select field at Navan last month. That marks him down a smart prospect and sets a clear standard here.

Improved form despite pulling hard when scoring at Kelso after Christmas. That was on good ground so whilst he is clearly progressive, now needs to show that on a much softer surface.

Landed a pair of good ground bumpers last summer but ran no race when tailed off on hurdling debut when encountering a soft surface for the first time. Looks stable second string on form.

Brother to decent Irish winner Walk To Freedom (winner from 2m to 2m6f). Fourth of 15 in Bumper here in October 2016 but absent since and clearly had problems.

Ex-French. Not knocked about when midfield on British debut over 2m4f but likely to do better in due course when returning to longer trip.
Winning handicapper on the Flat for Archie Watson at up to 1m4f but no promise in pair of hurdling runs and likely to fare better when handicapping after this.
No sign of ability at huge odds in a Bumper and novice hurdle and impossible to fancy against these rivals.

Poor form in a pair of bumpers and novice hurdles and not hard to look elsewhere.
Similar level of ability in a trio of bumpers but tailed off on hurdling bow and another for whom it is hard to make a case for.
Landed a pair of bumpers in the mud last winter and better should have been expected on hurdling debut at Carlisle. Something to prove though still early days.

Placed in Point-to-points but hasn't shown enough in two runs under rules to be of interest.

Some ability on hurdles debut after showing promise in bumpers but off the track since November 2017 and probably best watched unless market indicates otherwise.
47 rated maiden on the Flat and hasn't shown enough in two attempts over hurdles to be of interest here.
Won on the Flat for Richard Fahey over 1m last spring. Little form since switching codes and best watched for now.

Forecasts

Galvin (3/10), Elvis Mail (5/1), Paper Promise (9/1), Braid Blue (16/1), Carry On Arcadio (25/1), Exit To Where (50/1), Southeast Rose (80/1), Ride The Lightning (80/1), Vintage Glen (80/1), Western Lass (80/1), Welsh Rarebit (100/1), Baileys Artist (100/1), The Navigator (100/1), Sixties Glenark (100/1)

Verdict

GALVIN is the class act on display and it will be a major surprise if he can't maintain his unbeaten record. Elvis Mail looks to be his only logical danger and in a race with little strength in depth Paper Promise may do best of the rest.
  1. Galvin
  2. Elvis Mail
  3. Paper Promise
