Has won four of his last six starts and has been improving rapidly. Fair second here last time out in a Grade 2 but he has more on his plate here this time around and will need another sizable step forward.
Well bred sort who was impressive when winning on hurdles/yard debut at Punchestown. Narrowly denied in a follow up bid at Fairyhouse last time by re-opposing Surin. Needs more to be considered for win purposes but improvement on the cards.
Seemingly going the right way before a backwards step last time out at Fairyhouse. Seems vulnerable to less exposed types here.

Won a maiden hurdle at Roscommon but well beaten next time out at Listowel and that form looks levels below what is required in this contest.

Very smart stayer on the Flat and he narrowly got the better of Tiger Tap Tap on hurdles debut last time out, the pair pulling a long way clear of the remainder. Will improve for that and has enough potential to be of interest here.

Flat winner in France and made an encouraging start for this yard when only narrowly denied by Sir Eric over C&D last time out. Expected to go well again but there's a suspicion he may struggle to reverse the form with that rival.

Reversed form with Gardens Of Babylon last time out and unlikely to be much between the pair again here but this is a tougher race and she will need another sizable step forward to have a say.

Forecasts

Sir Erec (13/8), Tiger Tap Tap (2/1), Gardens of Babylon (5/1), Coeur Sublime (6/1), Surin (7/1), Chief Justice (12/1), Lamarckise (16/1), Got Trumped (20/1), Filon D'Oudairies (25/1), Morning Skye (33/1), Parisian (66/1)

Verdict

Former Aidan O'Brien inmate SIR ERIC has plenty of potential and he's expected to take a big step forward on just his second hurdles start. The son of Camelot can confirm the form with Tiger Tap Tap who represents last year's winning yard and wasn't beaten far by the selection last time. Coeur Sublime looked like the winner of a Grade 2 here last time before a fall at the last and his potential remains intact.
  1. Sir Erec
  2. Tiger Tap Tap
  3. Coeur Sublime
