Dual Bumper winner in the past but was off the track for over 2 years before recent return when sent hurdling. Showed the benefit of comeback when nearly landing a gamble at Wetherby over Christmas and should have further improvement to come.

Two from three in bumpers in the 2016/17 season but not seen since. Now sent hurdling and first run on softer than good but hails from strong yard and has to be respected.

Led for a long way on hurdling debut in a better race at Newbury and entitled to improve for that. Place claims in a race which may not have much strength in depth.
Point-to-point win in 2016 but has clearly had problems since and Warwick run last month when down the field was his first appearance for nearly two years.

100/1
Placed in Point-to-point in 2016 but no show in novice hurdles the following year and impossible to fancy on his return after another absence.
6

25/1
Stepped up on Bumper runs when showing distinct promise on first run over hurdles here last month having switched stables. Likely to improve though may ideally want further.

Similar level of form in a pair of hurdle runs and both races have seen the form franked. Was well backed latest so clearly thought capable of better.
40 rated 2m maiden on the Flat when with John Butler and hard to make a case for on hurdling debut for current yard.

Off the mark at third attempt in a Point-to-point but no immediate promise on hurdling debut and wind surgery since then.
1m2f winner in France in 2017 and showed marked improvement on hurdles debut when third at Leicester last month. Clear of remainder then and obvious claims in this similar contest.
Hurdles debut but won a soft ground Bumper at Hereford in November and although he din't improve on that at Ascot, that was a strong contest and commands respect in this sphere.

100/1
Suited by 1m2f on the Flat and copes with soft ground but regressive in that sphere and passed over on this belated hurdles debut.

Age: 5|  Weight: 10-11| J: Paul O'Brien(3)| T: N B King

Hasn't shown enough in a trio of bumpers to be of interest on this hurdles debut and easy to look elsewhere.

100/1
1m2f 53 rated maiden on the Flat and best efforts were on faster ground so likely to struggle on hurdling bow.

Forecasts

Captain Woodie (3/1), Betameche (7/2), Tegerek (4/1), Mack The Man (6/1), Those Tiger Feet (13/2), Champagne Mist (9/1), Our Bubba (20/1), Little Rory Mac (25/1), Dara's Present (40/1), Mount Cleshar (66/1), Slaine (66/1), Free Travel (100/1), Inflexiball (100/1), Kenmare River (100/1)

Verdict

BETAMECHE ran well when second at Wetherby last time and if able to build on that he may be able to get off the mark over hurdles at the third attempt. Of the others with experience over timber Tegerek holds the strongest form while Captain Woodie and Those Tiger Feet are interesting recruits from the Bumper field.
  1. Betameche
  2. Tegerek
  3. Captain Woodie
