Clear promise on debut before failing to stay 1m2f 16 days ago. This looks a competitive race and improvement most definitely required.
Took a backward step last time in a race run at a quicker pace than his previous start.
Fourth behind some decent sorts on debut but failed to back that up when favourite. Has been absent five months and makes AW debut.
9,000 gns son of Vale Of York and half-brother to Ascot Day who has won on three different AW surfaces for this stable.
Alhebayeb half-brother to useful winners Golden Shaheen and Cheeky Chappie. Bought for a modest £4,000 having shown little in three starts for Jessica Harrington.
Forced to race wide on debut when staying on to take third. The first two have have gone on to frank the form and she would be the one to beat.
18,000 gns yearling and the 12th foal of a dam who has produced eight winners including AW specialists Russki, The Scorching Wind and Ocean Legend. In good hands so check the market.
7,500 gns daughter of Showcasing out of an unraced half-sister to Listed AW sprint winner Rivellino. This looks competitive and she is best watched.
Proved weak in the market before dropping away tamely in a four-runner nursery on latest start. Interesting to see if the market vibes are more positive because her best might be good enough.
Havana Gold half-sister to six winners including useful handicapper King Charles and Goodwood Stakes winner Ghimaar, as well as Eolian and Man Look who have scored for this yard.
Forecasts
Gold Bere (9/4), Holy Kingdom (5/2), Lethal Lover (6/1), Altar Boy (7/1), Copper Rose (7/1), Aleeka (11/1), Watch And Learn (16/1), Newton Kyme (20/1), Newsflash (33/1), Chutzpah (66/1)
The market should be informative with Copper Rose making some appeal with a pedigree suggesting she debuts on the right surface and Gold Bere returning from a break following a disappointing run last time. LETHAL LOVER showed more than enough when third on her debut to suggest she can win a race of this nature. The form looks strong with the first two having subsequently won three races between them and she has a fitness advantage in her favour. Aleeka drifted alarmingly last time and ran accordingly, but would have a chance on previous form if the signals look positive.
- Lethal Lover
- Copper Rose
