Top-rated (109) and a very smart sprinter with a 25% career strike-rate (10-40); off for 95-days since finishing ½L second to subsequent Meydan runner-up Hit The Bid at Dundalk (5f) in October; sole Newcastle run in the 2016 Gosforth Park Cup.
Beat his subsequent conqueror Alsvinder when winning a Class 3 6f handicap at Lingfield in late December, and arrives in good form. However, has plenty to find at these weights on his first Newcastle start; hasn't run over 5f since September 2018.
On a hat-trick following a productive spell of 5f form on Fibresand at Southwell since late December (2,3,1,1); no harm in raising his sights higher - especially with this surface riding slow of late; needs a fair bit more nevertheless.
Has won on each of his last three visits to Gosforth Park (all over 5f) and continues to improve at a rate of knots; authoritative winner here a fortnight ago (beat Foolaad by ¾L); much respected, albeit a career best is needed.

One time smart handicapper who won a valuable Class 2 contest over 7f here in February 2017 (for Stuart Williams); successful at a much lower level of late (Class 4-6) for Phil McBride/Jane Chapple-Hyam; unlikely winner over 5f.
Veteran who is a winner of 13 of his 51 career starts (6-20 on the AW); 5f-6f around Chelmsford suits him perfectly as demonstrated when beating Royal Birth by ¾L (Cl 2) in early January; runner-up on sole Newcastle (6f) start.

The then David Simcock-trained Stone Of Destiny finished runner-up to Corinthia Knight in a Fast-Track Qualifier in 2018 (run in mid-February), before being switched to Andrew Balding for a turf campaign which took in the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup (fourth) at Royal Ascot. Back on the AW (2-3) on his first start since being gelded, he makes the shortlist. Outrage has thrived at this track over the winter winning on each of his last three visits to Gosforth Park, so is worthy of a place in the line-up but the selection is ENCORE D'OR. Top-rated (109) and with the form of his October Dundalk second franked since, he rates as tough to oppose on such advantageous terms.
