ECU DE LA NOVERIE, a winner over fences in France earlier in his career has made a pleasing start for Philip Hobbs and already a hurdle winner for the yard he suggested he would soon be adding to that success over fences when a good third at Haydock latest. Blue Flight is similarly very unexposed over fences and filled the same spot as the selection last time over 3m at Wetherby so stamina is obviously his string suit. Wolfcatcher won easily last time but only two finished so gauging that form is not easy.
