Ventriloquist was a fair performer for Godolphin in 2014/15 and could prove to be a real force at this level from a much reduced handicap mark if able to stay this 1m trip. However, in an open race a chance is taken on UBLA. He is well suited by Lingfield, is handily drawn and his winning chance is further boosted by the presence of the useful 7lb claimer Toby Eley in the saddle.
