Society Rock colt, cost 22,000 gns as a yearling. Ran to a similar level in first two starts but well below that at Doncaster. Absent since May for stable in decent form but improvement required on handicap and AW debut.

Made it two from five when making all at Wolverhampton in a decent time. 6lb penalty to shoulder on course debut but form rates as strong and backed up by decent times. Still improving and may be hard to peg back.

Sole win came over 6f here but raced up to that level when second last start over this trip at Newcastle. Can be competitive but this is stronger company and more needed.

10-race maiden but handled this surface on sole previous visit here. Excuses last twice when not handling fibresand and then when trapped wide at Wolverhampton and is easing to an attractive mark.

Front-runner who was off the mark when proving well suited by the fibresand. Up 4lb but remains on a potentially attractive mark and chances revolve being able to transfer form to this different surface.

Just the four starts so far and not disgraced last twice, however this would require significant improvement on handicap debut and others preferred.

Forecasts

Rock Bottom (10/11), Kingi Compton (9/2), Hanakotoba (11/2), Swiss Chime (6/1), Arcadian Rocks (16/1), Velvet Vixen (40/1)

Verdict

Just the six runners but no short of pace and while the speedy Swiss Chime is respected following her breakthrough win, it may that the fibresand is best suited to her running style. Things haven't gone right recently for Kingi Compton but he was previously consistent and is well weighted. Preference though is for ROCK BOTTOM who has racked up a couple of decent recent wins and has a very progressive profile.
  1. Rock Bottom
  2. Kingi Compton
  3. Swiss Chime
