Looks a very useful prospect winning both his bumper starts in good style defying a penalty at Ascot on the second occasion. Continued his progress with easy win at Ffos Las in testing conditions; eased clear on the bridle and hard to oppose here.

Three-time AW winner last year at up to 2m but his three hurdles runs so far have made him look very limited in this sphere. Unseated his rider early on last time and still looks a work in progress for handicaps.
Fair sort on the Flat although he does have his fair share of temperament also and showed his dark side here on the AW last time. Not sure to take to this discipline and best watched on hurdles debut.
Second runner from the stable who finished 0-5 in Irish point-to-points (did show some ability) but well beaten in two starts under Rules in novice hurdles. Unlikely to play much of a part here on what he's shown so far.
0-3 in Irish point-to-points (only completed once) and there has been little of note that he's shown over hurdles (so far) in novice company that would have you rushing to support him. Beaten 108L over 2m7f here last time.

From the same yard as the likely long odds-on market leader he's in good hands and looks to be being brought along gently. Would need considerable improvement to trouble that one and looks one more for handicaps in the near future.

Made the frame in Irish point-to-points and has recently hinted at some ability over hurdles despite finishing well held at Newbury last time. Lacked pace there to hold his place and may be better over further once he has a mark.

Lightly-raced sort from the Flat who makes his hurdles debut but has been well beaten on all his starts and hasn't been seen since August. Can only be watched in this.

Did manage to shape with some promise when runner-up on his hurdles debut back in 2016 but looks to have taken the wrong path since then. Refused to race on the Flat in September and looked reluctant in the same sphere when last seen the same month.

Modest form at best in bumpers before she never got involved at all on her hurdles debut at Worcester in the summer despite being relatively well found in the market. Makes no great appeal now back from a break.

Has shown some fair Flat form but (rated 68) but hasn't won in that sphere since May 2016 (plenty of placed efforts). Now makes her hurdles debut rather belatedly but should make a good showing based on her Flat ability.

Appeared to have some ability when giving the favourite a race in a small field Exeter bumper in October. Not really built on that run since in two Fontwell hurdles having only beaten one rival home in that brace of starts.

Fair maiden on the Flat when trained in Ireland at up to 1m with most of his form coming in testing conditions. Has made little impact in two juvenile hurdles though and still a doubt as to whether he stays this far.

Goes hurdling for new connections after a break having had just four runs on the Flat for Jim Bolger in Ireland. Brother to useful chaser Vocaliser and half-brother to fair hurdler Miracle Cure and that gives hope for his prospects in this sphere.

Forecasts

Emitom (1/8), Saumur (7/1), Megalodon (14/1), Playa Blanca (18/1), Age Of Wisdom (20/1), Voice Control (20/1), Verbitude (25/1), Invisible Clouds (25/1), Perfect Moment (33/1), Chain Smoker (33/1), Betsalottie (40/1), Just Perfect (50/1), Sweep Of Diamonds (100/1), Clondaw Robin (100/1)

Verdict

It will come as a surprise if the unbeaten EMITOM relinquishes his unbeaten record here having cruised to victory last at Ffos Las with the opposition looking less than exacting here with the majority running to get a handicap mark. Saumur has some decent Flat form to bring to the table and could be of interest on her debut while his stable mate Invisible Clouds has already shown he has ability. Megalodon and Verbitude are a couple to look out for with a view to the future.
  1. Emitom
  2. Invisible Clouds
  3. Saumur
