Dual winner on similar ground in April 2017 though has generally struggled since. Well beaten third at Sedgefield last time but plenty of winners have come from that race so a repeat should put him in the mix.
Best effort for current yard was over fences last time but has shown enough over hurdles to play a role in a weak contest such as this.
Pulled up on reappearance for current yard last month and first time visor needs to spark plenty of improvement.
Has presumably had his problems as very lightly raced these days and got no further than the first on recent chasing debut. Only of interest if market speaks positively.
Big improvement when getting off the mark at Plumpton in November and may have made the frame but for falling two out in return there last time. In decent nick so should play a part here.
Made all at Plumpton last March but has been out of sorts this season and although 11lb lower now has plenty to prove at present.
Losing run continues to build up but a step in the right direction at Uttoxeter on latest and if building on that is not without a chance in a weak finale.
In the process of showing improved form when falling last two starts and if he can brush up his jumping has the ability to figure off his basement mark.
Showed nothing in four starts over hurdles for previous connections and off the track since September 2017. Stable switch will need to inspire.
Reverts to hurdles having lost her way over the larger obstacles including when pulled up on first run following wind surgery last time. Claims on her Wincanton second in May off this 8lb lower mark but comes with risks attached.
Has shown nothing over hurdles to date and although fit from a recent run on the Flat, is hard to fancy on all known evidence.
Forecasts
Sky Full Of Stars (10/3), Glimpse Of Gold (5/1), Bolister (6/1), Flanagans Field (6/1), Ermyn's Emerald (7/1), Ruby Russet (8/1), Western Morning (14/1), Mr Lando (14/1), Golden Cannon (14/1), Morning Sequel (25/1), Lion Of Lackabane (40/1)
In a race that will take little winning a chance is taken on ERMYN'S EMERALD putting in a clear round having threatened to play a part in his last two starts if he had completed. Sky Full Of Stars has shown enough to be a danger on this return to the smaller obstacles with Golden Cannon taken to fill the placings.
- Ermyn's Emerald
- Sky Full Of Stars
- Golden Cannon
