Improved a lot when successful four times last season but not in the same form this time around and cheek pieces (dispensed with here) brought no improvement when tried last time. Conditions fine if able to bounce back to best.

Form for previous yard was tailing off and showed nothing on first attempt for current trainer so plenty to prove now.

Disappointing in the main since joining Charlie Mann and although handicapper is relenting, would like to see more before supporting.

Taunton win last March but the wheels have come off this season with mistakes blighting his progress and hard to fancy in current form.

Age: 9|  Weight: 11-3| J: Bryony Frost| T: C Fryer| OR:  101| CD

Didn't recover after early mistake on latest but soft ground wouldn't have helped anyway. In good hear prior to that on a sounder surface and 2/3 under today's rider including a win over C&D.

Day Of Roses19
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-2| J: Nick Scholfield| T: J Scott| OR:  100| C

Ran out when attempting a C&D hat-trick on Boxing Day but generally runs his race and should strip fitter here that having been his first run for 18 months.
7

Megaboostb19
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-9| J: Max Kendrick(5)| T: B I Case| OR:  93

Gradually improving over fences and although her second over C&D needs improving on, that is possible as she she is relatively lightly raced compared to plenty of her rivals.

Invicta Lakeb19
Age: 12|  Weight: 10-6| J: R P McLernon| T: Miss S Smith| OR:  90| C| D
9/1
Drop in trip didn't help last time but still a maiden after 10 goes over fences and others preferred here.

Forecasts

Cucklington (4/1), Midnight Bliss (5/1), Day Of Roses (5/1), Cabragh (6/1), Robinroyale (13/2), Cap Horner (7/1), Megaboost (17/2), Invicta Lake (9/1)

Verdict

Some of these aren't entirely straight forward but MIDNIGHT BLISS can be forgiven her lapse last time and can regain the winning thread under a jockey who gets on so well with her. Day Of Roses has a little to prove as well but looks a danger with Cucklington best of the rest if he can bounce back.
  1. Midnight Bliss
  2. Day Of Roses
  3. Cucklington
