Six-race maiden but has taken another step forward in his two recent runs at this track. Just found one too good over this C&D when battling on well late and should have more to offer at this trip.
Remains a maiden after nine starts and has the best form on offer from his early runs, however has failed to beat a rival home the last twice including following a gelding operation. Best watched in first-time blinkers.
Well beaten in a bumper on debut and in two Flat starts since. Showed little promise over this C&D latest and has loads to find with Oneovdem. Hard to make any sort of case for.
Outran 66/1 odds when second of seven over this trip at Chelmsford on debut in October, where he overcame a bad start. Ran below that level at Kempton but place possibilities in this company.
Kodiac filly who cost 75,000 gns as a two-year-old but didn't make the track for Jeremy Noseda. Worth a check in the market on debut but others preferred.
Filly by Pivotal out of an Invincible Spirit mare but was too green to do herself justice at Southwell on last month's debut. Could leave that form behind on this surface but hard to be confident in with first-time blinkers.
155,000 gns Shamardal filly out of listed winning dam. Ran to a similar level when showing pace in two starts last summer and looked likely to improve with time. Has plenty of upside and looks a leading player.
Forecasts
Shamlahar (5/4), Oneovdem (10/3), Yimou (4/1), Pheidippides (5/1), Beyond The Fringe (14/1), Dubai Eye (33/1), The Celtic Machine (50/1)
Oneovdem is likely to go close once again but is vulnerable to a horse with more improvement. SHAMLAHAR fits that profile after showing plenty in two starts so far and market support would be interesting on this return from a break. There's not a lot of depth outside the pair although while Yimou failed to progress on his second start, he's shown enough to be involved again.
