Agent Boru¹⁶

Age: 8| Weight: 11-13| J: D J Mullins| T: T Gibney| OR: 123| C

5/1

Promising start over fences when fourth of 18 behind Discorama at Naas in November over similar trip, pair of backwards steps since but cannot be ruled out with David Mullins taking over now.

Form: 010-460

Getaway Kid¹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-13| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade| D

9/2

Made winning start over fences with 2m4f yielding-ground win at Down Royal over Christmas. Should be more to come and on the shortlist for follow-up attempt.

Form: 6U5-231

R'evelyn Pleasure¹⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-13| J: Donagh Meyler| T: S O O'Brien

9/2

Won Clonmel beginners' chase in December over shorter, decent second since at Limerick upped to 2m1½f. Going the right way and entitled to stay this trip without issue.

Form: 4-29F12

Allardyce⁵⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: L P Dempsey| T: E J O'Grady| OR: 120

7/1

Well held on chase bow here over 2m5f in November but built on that to score at Cork (2m5f, yielding) 12 days later, jumping nicely. This is a bit tougher again, improving.

Form: 10-7831

Monatomic¹²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| OR: 120| BF

11/2

Has made the frame in three of four starts over fences (faller on debut), including third at Punchestown (2m, good) on New Year's Eve. Often travels strongly, but yet to show the stomach for a power-packed finish.

Form: 41-F223

Stowaway Forever²⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-9| J: Paul Townend| T: J P Dempsey| OR: 119

5/2

Has shown promise over fences so far, was still in the hunt when coming down at Navan (2m4f, yielding to soft) last month. Return of Paul Townend a plus, worth considering.

Form: 0-3433F

Home Place¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: Robbie Colgan| T: K Thornton

33/1

Modest maiden hurdler, ran fair race on chase bow over 2m5f here on New Year's Day on four-runner event, finishing third. Has to improve on that now.

Form: 300003

Forecasts

Stowaway Forever (5/2), R'evelyn Pleasure (9/2), Getaway Kid (9/2), Agent Boru (5/1), Monatomic (11/2), Allardyce (7/1), Home Place (33/1)

This is wide open but it was hard not to like the debut winning effort of GETAWAY KID over fences at Down Royal. He looked a natural and should be capable of plenty better in this sphere. His jumping may put pressure on the likes of Stowaway Forever, who will benefit from having Paul Townend back on board nonetheless. Monatomic must prove he wants a scrap when it matters while R'evelyn Pleasure, Allardyce and Agent Boru can all have their cases made.
