Signs of promise in three maiden/novice hurdle starts but struggled on handicap debut in that sphere last time out. Dropping in trip on chase debut.

Form: P-P5677

Elysian Prince⁴

Good fifth in a handicap hurdle over an extended 1m7f at Musselburgh (good) four days ago. Market support would be notable on debut over fences.

Champion Chase^p²⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: James Best| T: M R Bosley| OR: 92

Form: 5222-F5

Ringaringarosie¹⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 10-9| J: Callum Bewley| T: M Todhunter| OR: 88

Maiden after seven starts recorded a career best effort when third over C&D on soft ground last time out. Interesting off a 3lb lower mark.

Forecasts

Castletown (10/11), Newquay Cards (9/2), Trooblue (11/2), Champion Chase (11/2), Ringaringarosie (14/1), Elysian Prince (20/1), Court Painter (66/1), Mrs Vonn (66/1), Scorpo (150/1)

RINGARINGAROSIE placed here last time out and looks capable of taking this competitive novices' handicap chase. The selection should appreciate forecast underfoot conditions and can get the better of top weight Castletown who can finish runner-up back in handicap company. Elysian Prince ran well over hurdles recently and is taken to claim third on his first outing over fences.
