Fulfilled debut promise to score by a nose at Wolverhampton. Displayed an awkward head carriage and the runner-up has been beaten since so looks vulnerable under a penalty.

Made little appeal on pedigree but romped home 6L clear of an ordinary bunch on debut when apparent stable second string. This will teach us more, but hard not to be impressed with the turn of foot he displayed to settle the issue.

Did best of those held up in a steadily run race at Kempton on latest start. Stable landed a similar race on Wednesday with a well supported runner and a market check also advised here.

Fast Company gelding cost €42,000 as a close relation to a 2m winner and half-brother to two more winners at middle distances. Likely to come into his own over further.
Gelded son of Norse Dancer out of a Sir Percy mare. Likely to need further in time and best watched following an inauspicious debut.

Gelded son of Mayson bought for 27,000 gns at the sales in May. Half-brother to a couple of winners. Caught the eye on debut when racing wide and looking green. Ran on well when getting the hang of things and a big player with his allowance.

By Coach House out of a mare who won two minor sprints for this trainer. Trip looks out of his range and stable have gone 87 days without a winner.

Stepped up considerably from his debut to finish second at Kempton. That was the slowest of the three 7f races on the card and he benefitted from being in the front rank, This will be tougher.
100/1 and looked green on Kempton debut when the first two went clear. Showed a high head carriage which could be an issue around here, but worth noting in the market given the yard can get one ready for these winter novice contests.

Already gelded son of Es Que Love that cost £22,000 as a yearling. Related to a few winners but a lot to learn judged on debut effort.

Has only beaten one home in two prior starts at lengthy odds and impossible to fancy under those circumstances.

Daughter of Coach House out of a mare who is a half-sister to the useful Motivado. No show on debut and faces another tough examination here.

Forecasts

Harvey Dent (7/4), Rectory Road (2/1), Target Zone (7/2), Coolagh Forest (8/1), Altar Boy (10/1), Fast Boy (20/1), Renegade Master (25/1), Harry The Norseman (33/1), Twpsyn (66/1), Midnite Rendezvous (100/1), Prince Mamillius (100/1), Anglesey Penny (150/1)

Verdict

Of the two previous winners Rectory Road was far more impressive than Coolagh Forest, but HARVEY DENT gets a nice allowance from both and he looked a winner in waiting here last time. Archie Watson's charge looked in need of the experience but was getting the hang of things late on and will arrive as a more polished performer. Renegade Master showed some promise on his debut, whilst market moves for Target Zone and Altar Boy would be significant.
  1. Harvey Dent
  2. Rectory Road
  3. Altar Boy
