Well treated on form of his sole Flat success, but not much to cheer about over hurdles for Phil York in recent times, and didn't show a huge amount back in this sphere for new yard last month.
Not won for almost a year, but has slipped in the weights, and ran one of his better races when third of 10 to Champagne Rules over C&D last time. Decent claims if first-time cheekpieces have a positive effect.
Veteran who has won 12 times here, but isn't the force of aold, and has beaten just one rival in total in his last three starts after an absence.
Largely consistent at a modest level, and ran his best race for a while when second of 12 to Earl of Bunnacurry over C&D in November. That would put him in with every chance assuming he's in the same form after a six-week break.
Close second here in April, and that effort puts him in the picture, but has only raced twice since, and below form both times, which tempers confidence.
Won at Leicester in 2017, but ended year out of sorts, and failed to make the track last season. Easy enough to serve coming back from a long absence.
Not disgraced in a 1m Redcar seller for Geoff Harker when last seen, and new yard does well with similar types, so market check needed on return from a short break.
Failed to win for Amanda Perrett, although showed ability for that yard. Not discredited starting out for new stable here last month, and best to forgive a poor effort at Southwell since.
Failed to face blinkers and/or kickback on Fibresand debut last time, but was well backed when fourth on debut for current yard at Chelmsford, and no surprise if he fared better now. Market useful.
Below form since the spring, but on a handy mark as a result, and she shaped better than the bare result when fourth of 12 in a C&D handicap last time. One to bear in mind.
Yet to prove her stamina for this trip, and while not discredited when 5¾L fifth of 12 to Lady of Authority in a C&F handicap last time, others would appear to have her measure.
Has shown little in three qualifying runs, but not overfaced at this level for handicap debut, and best to check the betting for signs of confidence given shrewd yard.
Four runs for current yard in 2018 were essentially devoid of promise, and this filly has plenty on her plate once more.
Forecasts
Jeremy's Jet (9/4), Cottingham (9/2), Boatrace (9/2), Diamond Reflection (7/1), Going Native (10/1), Don't Do It (12/1), Taceec (16/1), Clive Clifton (16/1), Mr Frankie (16/1), Puchita (33/1), Wide Acclaim (33/1), Idol Deputy (33/1), Poor Duke (100/1)
JEREMY'S JET ran well to be second to handicap snip Earl of Bunnacurry on his latest start, and will go very close if in the same form after a short hiatus. Diamond Reflection served notice of a return to form when second last time, and should be a big threat, with Boatrace and Don't Do It in need of a market check now starting off for capable new yards.
- Jeremy's Jet
- Diamond Reflection
- Boatrace
