Down in class on first run since July. Has won over this C&D previously and remains lightly-raced for his age. Can't be discounted but he has needed his first run back after a break in the past.

Gained back-to-back wins early last year but well beaten last twice. On a high mark and a bit to prove returning from an absence with his best AW form coming elsewhere.

Twice a former C&D winner and made it nine from 31 AW starts when landing a good Wolverhampton claimer on stable debut. Returns to handicaps on a lenient mark and should go close.

Lightly-raced and best form on the turf came at this trip. Didn't convince over further the last twice and should be better back down in distance. Gelded since last run in August and one to note on AW debut.

Has struggled to make an impression in three starts since returning from a 358-day absence that leaves him with plenty to prove. Step back up in trip a further question and others look more convincing.

Mainly campaigned at 7f but does stay this far. Not beaten far last twice and has been running into form in four starts back since wind surgery. Consistent sort who shouldn't be far away but this is a stronger grade.

Likeable and consistent performer who has seemingly taken another step forward in his last three runs with a C&D win and two strong finishing seconds. Up in class but his Lingfield conqueror has franked the form since and he looks sure to go close.

Behind Family Fortunes three starts back before a win over this C&D. Disappointed off revised mark at Wolverhampton last time but not badly handicapped on old form and could well bounce back on this surface.

Forecasts

Al Jellaby (6/4), Chiefofchiefs (3/1), Family Fortunes (7/2), Unforgiving Minute (10/1), Jellmood (10/1), Juanito Chico (14/1), Able Jack (33/1), Merlin (33/1)

Verdict

FAMILY FORTUNES ran into a smart improving type last time when racing right up to his very best and with the winner going in again since, he looks primed to build on a hot run of form. The claimer that Unforgiving Minute won was above average and he's a big danger off a good handicap mark while Juanito Chico is taken to return to form back on his preferred AW surface.
  1. Family Fortunes
  2. Unforgiving Minute
  3. Juanito Chico
