New Approach gelding who cost 130,000 gns as a yearling. Promising second to an odds-on shot over this trip on only start in June. Has left Saeed Bin Suroor's stable to join a yard going great guns at present.
Promising debut third over 1m at this track, but failed to build on that stepped up to 1m1½f at Wolverhampton when last seen in November. Has ability and can do better for her good southern stable.
Placed in three of her four starts and has shown she can act on AW surfaces. Has been tried over a variety of distances, which suggests her top trainer is struggling to find her best trip. Blinkers applied for the first time.
Placed in two of her five starts, latterly over 1m at Kempton in October. Shaped as though this longer trip would suit and is greatly respected.
Forecasts
Sajanjl (7/4), Cloudlam (11/4), Ice Pyramid (11/4), Be Thankful (11/2), Bempton Cliffs (20/1), Fields Of Fire (150/1), Last Glance (250/1)
Only four of these have a realistic chance of winning and cases can certainly be made for the southern-trained fillies Be Thankful, Cloudlam and Sajanjl. The betting will be a useful guide to their respective prospects, but all three may meet their match in ICE PYRAMID, who shaped well on his only start for Saeed Bin Suroor and has joined a yard enjoying a purple patch. He may represent a bit of value.
