Kelso bumper winner on heavy last year and ready winner over C&D on hurdles debut. Penalised, but again has decent claims.
Won five successive point-to-points in Ireland in 2016-17. Back for just his second race under rules, and trip looks plenty sharp enough.

Six-race maiden who was well held last time at Hexham. Can only watch.

33/1
Multiple Flat winner at up to 1m2f. Beaten 12L by Dali Mail here in November. Pulled up last time. Could finish in frame if bouncing back, but hard to fancy for the win.
Improved on his Down Royal bumper win when just behind Dark Ruler in the race won here by Dali Mail. Can probably reverse placings with Dark Ruler, but much more needed for the win.

Won a decent bumper here last spring, and although a beaten favourite on his hurdles debut, that was a good maiden at Cheltenham. Looks the one to beat.

100/1
Has not shown much in either bumpers or two hurdles when last seen in the summer. Best watched until we see more.
Promising efforts both on debut in a Musselburgh bumper last year, and on his hurdles debut at Hexham, but this drop in trip does not look ideal for his reappearance from a seven-month break.

6/1
Made the frame in three Irish bumpers last year. Is a half-brother to three 2m hurdle winners, so could improve now he goes jumping for top yard.
10
Horse silk
200/1
Pulled up over C&D on hurdles debut in November. Tongue tied for the first time here, but can only watch.

Horse silk
100/1
Well held in a Carlisle bumper in October and taken out due to heavy ground when last declared. Can only watch on this hurdling introduction.
33-1 but showed promise when beaten around 10L in a Perth maiden hurdle in September. Couldn't build on that at Bangor, but not ruled out of the money if he can bounce back.

Forecasts

Sebastopol (2/5), Dali Mail (4/1), Whoshotthesheriff (6/1), Not The Chablis (16/1), As The Crow Flies (25/1), Timesawaiting (28/1), Dark Ruler (33/1), Glenpark (40/1), Southeast Rose (100/1), Battle Hard (100/1), Strathy (100/1), Robin De Plan (200/1)

Verdict

Dali Mail looked a decent prospect when winning decisively here last time and he appears to have strong claims again under a penalty, but he might find that conceding weight successfully to the similarly promising SEBASTOPOL is just beyond him this time. Whoshotthesheriff looks well worth a market check, while Not The Chablis and Glenpark are others of interest.
  1. Sebastopol
  2. Dali Mail
  3. Whoshotthesheriff
