Produced a career best effort when winning a Wetherby Grade 2 last time out. More needed from his revised mark in this contest but not without each-way claims with conditions in his favour.

Chameron13
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-6| J: H Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR:  143| BF
16/1
A Listed winner over hurdles in France, he's disappointed in two starts over fences this year, falling at Chepstow before unseating at Ludlow last time when still in with a chance; reverting to hurdles may do the trick.
3
Horse silk
Wotziznamet28
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-5| J: N D Fehily| T: H Fry| OR:  142| D

Won twice over fences last season and came on for his reappearance back in this sphere when runner-up at Southwell at the start of December. 5lb higher in a deeper race but can't be ruled out.
4

Jersey Bean40
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: R Johnson| T: O Sherwood| OR:  142| BF| D

Not beaten far in his four-timer bid at Market Rasen last time out. Another 6lb higher here but clearly going the right way at present and well suited to quick ground. Booking of Johnson is eye-catching.
5
Horse silk
Aux Ptits Soins32
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-4| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  141| C
5/1
Won the Coral Cup back in 2015 and seeming not the easiest to train subsequently. Ran okay on his belated reappearance for his new yard last time out and on a workable mark if he's retained all his ability.
6
Horse silk
Vive Le Roi32
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-0| J: Harry Bannister| T: A W Carroll| OR:  137| D
8/1
On a remarkable run at present, winning three of his last four and only narrowly denied here on the other run. 9lb higher for his latest Newbury success but that form has been franked by the runner-up and fourth since; expected to go close.
7
Horse silk
Bobo Mac32
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-13| J: James Davies| T: T Symonds| OR:  136
25/1
Won on his final start of last season at Warwick and returned from wind surgery with a promising effort at Newbury in November. He was a no show back at that course last time from his revised mark though and needs a career best here.
8
Horse silk
Karezakp32
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: Wayne Hutchinson| T: A King| OR:  135
22/1
An exciting prospect in the 2014/15 season but absent for nearly three years and has shown nothing in two starts since returning. Risky proposition at present.
9
Horse silk
The Eaglehaslandedb,t18
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-6| J: Brendan Powell| T: P F Nicholls| OR:  129| CD
12/1
Hasn't won for some time now and hasn't been the easiest to train. Well beaten in three starts this season and down the order on jockey bookings here.
10
Horse silk
Shalakar12
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-4| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR:  127
13/2
A Flat winner in France and consistent for this yard, despite only being able to get his head in front once in eight starts. Ran okay last time at Exeter and there's a suspicion he has one in him from this mark; though may have wanted softer ground.
11
Horse silk
De Name Evades Me32
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-2| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR:  125| D
11/2
Consistent sort who gained a first win under Rules at Warwick two starts back and wasn't disgraced on handicap debut at Newbury last time. More to come.
12
Horse silk
Juge Et Parti32
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-2| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR:  125| BF
11/1
Frustrating sort who failed to back up a promising enough effort at Chepstow in November when well beaten at Newbury last time. Best efforts have come on softer ground than what is likely here.
13
Horse silk
Forecasth,t10
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-2| J: G Sheehan| T: M Keighley| OR:  125
20/1
Very impressive when a wide margin winner at Lingfield two starts back but couldn't land any sort of blow from his revised mark when tried up in class last time out. Step back up in trip could see him to better effect.
14
Horse silk
Lord Du Mesnilp,t16
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-0| J: James Bowen| T: R Hobson| OR:  122| BF
14/1
Yet to win in 14 starts (10 in France) and failed to justify favouritism at Carlisle last time, too keen in the early stages. 4lb higher in a deeper race and seemingly opposable.

Forecasts

Aux Ptits Soins (5/1), De Name Evades Me (11/2), Shalakar (13/2), Jersey Bean (7/1), Vive Le Roi (8/1), Juge Et Parti (11/1), The Eaglehaslanded (12/1), Lord Du Mesnil (14/1), Chameron (16/1), Forecast (20/1), Nautical Nitwit (20/1), Wotzizname (20/1), Karezak (22/1), Bobo Mac (25/1)

Verdict

CHAMERON may appreciate a return to this discipline after some disappointments over fences of late, but he was running well before unseating last time and he would appear to be on a nice mark. Vive Le Roi has to be considered a major threat given his run of form while similar can be said for Jersey Bean who gets Richard Johnson for company in the saddle.
  1. Chameron
  2. Vive Le Roi
  3. Jersey Bean
