Showed some improved form to finish runner-up on her second start but failed to build on that at Wolverhampton last month. Needs to find improvement for either the step up in trip or switch of surface.

Made a promising enough debut but that form has failed to work out and she's disappointed in three subsequent starts. Drop back in trip may be in her favour on Fibresand debut but others make more appeal.

Still a maiden after nine starts but has been shaping with more promise on his recent efforts with headgear on. Probably vulnerable to anything well-handicapped on Fibresand debut.

Showed much improved form when winning the race in the stewards' room on Fibresand debut here last time out in first-time cheekpieces. Front two pulled clear that day and he makes appeal, despite a rise in the handicap.

Unplaced on each of his six starts, including a Fibresand debut last time out on debut for this yard. Hard to fancy on all known form. Wears first-time eye-shield.

Well beaten in three turf starts this summer but produced a better effort on handicap/Fibresand debut over C&D last time. Did well to finish fourth having raced prominently to a fast pace and ought to run well again for a yard that do well here.

Shown nothing in her three career starts. Up in trip on handicap debut with a first-time visor fitted but hard to fancy on evidence to date and not guaranteed to appreciate a switch to this surface.

Shown nothing in three AW starts to date. Up in trip on Fibresand debut for a yard that do well with their handicap debutantes and market probably will be the best guide.

Well beaten in her first three starts but it was a better effort here last time when three of 13 on handicap/Fibresand debut. The habit of starting slowly is off-putting, particularly from this draw, but can't be ruled out if she gets away on terms.

Well beaten on each of his first three starts and failed to settle when last of nine at Newcastle last week. May do better significantly up in trip on handicap debut and market perhaps the best guide.

Forecasts

Fenjal (13/8), Whenapoet (15/8), Arms Of The Angel (8/1), Congress Place (12/1), Sylviacliffs (14/1), Silk Island (16/1), Dothraki (22/1), Alate (25/1), Pandora Star (33/1), Arriba De Toda (40/1)

Verdict

FENJAL produced a much improved effort here last time out and their could be more to come from the gelding on this surface throughout the winter. Sylviacliffs is another who appreciated the switch to Fibresand last time while Silk Island hails from a yard that do well with their handicap debutantes and is worth a check in the market.
  1. Fenjal
  2. Sylviacliffs
  3. Silk Island
