Upped in trip after finishing down the field (seventh of 11) in a competitive novices' hurdle at Hexham (2m4f, soft) last month; significant progress is required.
Left Irish handler Joseph Murphy for €21,000 in November 2018; best effort came when finishing strongly in a 1m6f Gowran Park maiden (second) in September; hurdles debut for new stable.
Not massively competitive in four starts so far for Nick Alexander (2m-2m3f soft/heavy); upped in trip with the tongue tie now applied; better ground could suit and preferred to stablemate Just Brooke.
Back from 13 months off the track with a fair showing at Sedgefield (2m4f, soft) 22 days ago - runner-up has finished second since; likely pace angle at a track where he does have previous racing experience.
Well beaten on hurdles debut at Ayr (2m4f, heavy) in November and rates as the type who needs considerably more time and experience.
Twice placed at this track over hurdles previously, including on his penultimate start (5/2f) in November (2m5f, good); possible ground excuses latest (heavy), albeit lacks much in the way of scope for further improvement.
Modest in a trio of bumpers and fenced poorly throughout on chasing debut here earlier this month; no real surprise that he drops back to the smaller obstacles (debut), but doesn't make any appeal at this stage.
Useful type in bumpers (3/4) and the clear form pick based on those efforts alone. However, has evidently had issues and has undergone wind surgery since beaten at short-odds on hurdles debut at Ayr (2m4f+, heavy) in November.
Irish PTP winner (3m, good); no match for Goldencard (Keith Dalgleish) here on hurdles debut (2m) in October but has progressed well since and ought to be on the premises.
Broke his duck in PTP's when winning at Hexham (3m maiden, soft) earlier this month; has left the care of Chris Pimlott since and now competes under rules for the first time; market a guide.
Stablemate of Eagle Ridge; makes little appeal based upon the level of form that she's shown so far (2m-2m4f); likely to need this race (off since May 2017) and would be more competitive in handicap company.

Forecasts
Sam's Adventure (13/8), Thelongwayaround (9/4), Mighty Thunder (3/1), Flemens Story (9/1), Eagle Crag (20/1), Eagle Ridge (33/1), Uptown Harry (40/1), Fully Booked (50/1), Wataguddo (66/1), Captain Kurt (100/1), Just Brooke (100/1), Rocket Man Rodney (100/1)
Both Thelongwayaround and Flemens Story have posted solid enough efforts over hurdles lately so ought to be competitive here, whilst Eagle Crag could be worth keeping a close eye upon on debut for Carrutherstown trainer Iain Jardine. However, SAM'S ADVENTURE was in a different parish to these rivals in bumpers (3-4) and assuming that he has been nursed back to anything like that level of performance by Brian Ellison should quickly resurrect his once promising racing career.
- Sam's Adventure
- Thelongwayaround
- Eagle Crag
