Well backed and shaped with promise on his stable debut after 5 months off looking as though he needed the run here over 1m. Didn't settle fully and will be suited by this return to 7f having fallen 10lb below his last winning mark; leading player.

Lightly-raced sort (failed to run as a juvenile) who made his handicap debut last time over C&D; finished a creditable 3rd off this mark. Should continue to progress with experience and his mark looks a fair one; may be suited by a little further.

Back to this trip (had tried 1m2f the time before) when scoring a shock win on her first Fibresand start last time when a 50-1 chance. That was her first form and it's hard to know if she will reproduce that on a different surface under a penalty.

Ended a long losing run when coming back to form over 7f at Kempton in October helped by the much easier grade. She has run below form the last twice and despite running in better company earlier in the year she does need to show more to win here.

Both his wins have come here with the AW victory coming over 1m on his penultimate start moving back from a try at 1m2f. Does have a profile that is more miss than hit though but managed to back up his win last time; goes well for today's rider.

Has a career record of 10-84 although the wins have become rather less frequent of late and he's much better on turf (last win off 74) than he is on the AW. Operates off a much lower mark here but isn't an easy ride and makes limited appeal.

Dual C&D winner who is at home in this grade but like many in this class he can be rather inconsistent; ran poorly last time out. Not one for maximum faith despite the fact he's just 1lb above his last winning mark; often slow way.

First-time visor now goes on despite the cheekpieces failing to extract any promise last time although that headgear had been tried before. Her losing run continues to build and with a career record of 1-29 others make more appeal.

Well below his best of late but he's hardly one to be making excuses for even in this basement battle; certainly not the most straightforward. Never involved over 6f last time and the jury is very much out over his chance.

A career record of 0-11 more than likely sums her up having run poorly in a couple of 0-60 handicaps at sprint trips since a 6 month break. Even in this modest/low-grade affair she makes very little appeal.

Impossible to recommend on his displays this year having hardly beaten a rival home and for the most part finishing well beaten. Always behind last time in 0-50 over 7f that run hardly augurs well for his chance with headgear returning.

Forecasts

Daring Guest (5/2), Three C's (11/4), Cape Greco (7/2), Little Miss Kodi (6/1), Astrojewel (12/1), Malaysian Boleh (14/1), Satchville Flyer (14/1), Baby Gal (16/1), Angelito (33/1), Concur (66/1), Coral Caye (66/1)

Verdict

Not a particularly strong event and it provides DARING GUEST with a sound chance of making it second-time lucky for his new stable having been well supported last time with the drop to 7f also in his favour. Cape Greco is another to have run well last time over C&D and he looks as though he should be able to pick something up at this level possibly over further. Three C’s goes well for Hollie Doyle (4112) and while he can be inconsistent he has managed to put together two decent runs although given his record a third has to be in question. Astrojewel enters the equation if she can transfer her recent progress onto this very different surface.
